I agree....it seemed that the wolverines just gave up.....yet there are so many kids on the sidelines that are never switched in.....can it really hurt to try something new.....or is it best to just keep letting the same kids to the same things over and over and over. I know for a fact that there are some kids on the sidelines that do want to play....that have worked just as hard just to just stand there and never get a chance. GIVE THEM A CHANCE......who knows what will happen....can't be worse than what was happening on Thursday night right??????

Congrats on the Hunter win. Bring on Bingham. Let's have a good practice this week guys and remember when you have team unity, its hard to lose. At kick-off any team can be beaten. So take it to 'em COUGS!!!!

Spell it anyway you wish - Cosper or Casper and Defence or Defense and all the rest of the team! Great Job!

It is spelled Cosper. And Defense. And no one was double teaming anybody.

It's been about 20yrs watching KHS football teams play. It's great to see a new - knowledgable coach come from Texas and build this team, to where the players are actually having fun and winning games. Also, for such a young quarterback, stepping up each week to perform the duties to the best of his abilities...I know this Finai will gain more experience and progress as the season goes on...he provide it this last game against Hunter. Hunter has a good football team and I really enjoyed watching the two battle it out, but unfortunately only one can win! Thanks Coach Casper for building KHS football program. Good-luck Always!!!

Khs is good team. i think khs will take state this year .and khs has good runing backs

  • defence

goes to show that defence and film study is what wins games. hunter has weapons just can't seem to use all of them at one time. they shut down that kid rico by doubleteaming him and the running backs. I'm a hunter dad but kearns earned my respect.

O.K. Hunter High Wolverines, where is the swagger of years past? You played with little or no intensity against a team that you have traditionaly toyed with (14-5 overall series lead). You looked great against Spanish Fork and then layed an egg against the Cougars. Hunter High has ruled west side football for the last 18 years and now it appears you've layed down and gave up that distinction.

Lets not be letting a Copper Hills Grizzlies football program come into our house, next week, and leave us looking at 0-2 in region III play. For crying out loud, bite back once and awhile!

Brighton & Spanish Fork so far this year! I am amazed at the attitudes of people. These are games where all of these young men are giving their best on the field. Why do some people always try to make light of their performance? It's a GAME! I would not put on the pads for a single play but I do love watching HS Football & give them all credit for stepping on the field. These are two teams that work hard & have improved. All of you young men deserve credit for a game well played. Hold your heads high. There are many fans of HS Football that enjoy watching you each week.

  • Congrats Cougs!

"Name a team in the state that could not beat Hunter this year." - I'll name three that I'm sure Hunter will beat. West Jordan, Copper Hills and, one I'm a bit less sure of, Riverton. West Jordan and Copper Hills came into preseason with impressive records but played teams that were just not very good this season. Riverton has some potential this year, but I think Hunter will beat them this year too.
Kearns, congratulations on your win. See you next Thursday in South Jordan.

  • Name a team?

Congrats to the Cougars. Hunter is always a tough task for any one to handle. You have proven that you will be a force in region play. Keep up the good work and good things will follow. Nice game Hunter. Good Luck to both teams.
