Yes, Mickey Rooney has never been associated with racism. It does not help his case though when his wife continues to attempt to speak for him and ramble with her ridiculous comments regarding her love of Chinese food and the complete fabrication of their marriage in China (they were married in Los Angeles). Someone needed to cut that woman off so we can hear a little more about what Mickey thinks and not her damaging interpretations. Conclusion: Mickey Rooney is not racist toward Asians, his wife is an idiot, we should not censor old films and people should also respect those that do take offense to those roles because they are offensive.

Mickey Rooney is a film legend and national treasure. Racism and bigotry have never been associated with him. When people lose the ability to laugh at themselves and others they lose perspective, humor, and tolerance. My advice to this CAPITAL group - get a life! By the way, I have been blissfully married to a Pacific Islander for twenty years.
