    Perhaps in a country with traditions like France or Italy, it might make sense to lower the drinking age. There they have a tradition of drinking a small glass of wine at family dinner, kids included. This is a very healthy habit, so much so that people in part because of this tradition of drinking red wine all their life live longer than Americans. (the other part is they use olive oil).

    But here the youth who do drink, have bad traditions, not good traditions. Here kids binge drink.

    What is good for the goose is not always good for the gander.

    Ok, if we're going to treat 18 year olds like kids, lets make it 21 for all adult rights. 21 to marry. 21 to vote. 21 to go to war & get killed. 21 to tithe. Still sound good to treat 18 year olds like kids?
