  • Mormons for OBAMA!

Mormons everywhere unite! Vote for Obama for president. (or, go on youtube and watch McCain's mom rip on mormons...).

    "Stupid is, what stupid does!"

When the dollar is worth half as much and conservatives thinks gas doubled being of an oil shortage, you've got to wonder.

Im sure Leo Strauss, the father of the neoconservative wrote about conservative intellectual using noble lies to blind the conservative movement together. Strauss though the average conservative was too stupid to understand his goals.

There are very smart conservatives. Joel stein is one sharp writer. Newt Gingrich is well versed on history. William Kristol is a genius by anyones standards.

Dont lay your blame let them eat cake garbage on this Left Coast Liberal.

  • Look at me... I'm Obama

I am surprised the left hasn't asked President Bush to open up an office at the White House since Barrack is already been annointed King. I agree with Amateur Hour concerning Obama's experience. Obama is a one trick pony: a good public speaker.

    RE: You Conservatives

I lived in England and experience Europe at it's best and worst. Sure that might have BMW and fast trains but the also have an overloaded and crippled social welfare system that their population will not be able to support because their birth rate ratio is in the negative. They also have found out the letting middle easterners immigrate to fill the gap is causing too many problems.

I'd also like to know how Utah is a nanny state. Statistics show Utah being one of the most stingy with social welfare benefits. Oh wait, I forgot the state government a ran socialist medical system in Utah. No, hold on, that was "You Conservatives" having another delusional thought.

  • You conservatives are funny
    July 21, 2008 6:20 p.m.

Utah is a larger nanny state than any country I've visited in Europe or Latin American and conservatives run Utah.

Notice more Americans look up to Mercedes and BMW more than Fords or Chevys? German trains run on time. French Trains run over 200 mph. The largest nuclear accelerator is at Cern Switzerland. European kids out score American kids in math and science.

Yessirree, a slick, charismatic, silver-tongued, socialist, muslim with more life experience (willing to throw ANYONE under the bus who gets in his way) and a "do ANYTHING to win" attitude is just what our beloved country needs. One of the huge mistakes liberals make year after year, election cycle after election cycle, is the assumption that anyone who disagrees with them just must be inherently ignorant and being from Utah makes them even more ignorant. Please, Wrong!, continue to think that way. That condescending, "let them eat cake" attitude will keep your ilk and your party out of the White House for the next forty years and beyond.

One gets the feeling that there are seminar posters here in the DN board from the Obama camp.

This trip by "Barry" is a joke. Obama is a great stump speaker but that doesn't translate to him being "smarter, more charismatic" etc. Barry went to Iraq for the huge photo opportunity. According to some people that makes him qualified to be the president. If Barry gets elected, the US will suffer the greatest inflicted "Group Think" ever brought upon this nation because will have to consult with many others because of his lack of experience.

The real Barry is a one term senator from Illinois that has cashed political favor after political favor to make it a heartbeat away from being elected. This guy has no business being this close to the office. Yet, you will hear liberals spew that anyone who questions Barry as ignorant, uninformed, closed minded and white.

    RE: Wrong

When one starts thinking that the money we make isn't ours--they might as well deny capitalism and embrace communism. You must want the USA to be a socialist nanny state like Denmark and other European nations. Barry is your man to make it happen.

"Read between the lines. Iraq's government welcomed Democratic presidential wannabe candidate Barack Hussein Obamaism (because water seeks its own level and muslim's get along)."

You are a racist, and generally ignorant person. If anyone has half a back right now its McCain, the old geezer can barely walk.

This man is smarter, more charismatic, more life EXPERIENCED, and more capable of diversifying his approaches (demo-repub connectivity) to issues than anyone. You will never understand, but you are the same person who thinks all of the money you make belongs to you- you are probably white, and in one way or another privelaged.

By the way, his name is Barack H. Obama; if you are going to refer to a canidate by his middle name you should also call refer to John McCain as J Sydney McCain.

Obama is not a muslim, wake up your ignorant soul. Even if he were a muslim why is that for one second a bad thing?

Thanks again for the update that Utah is still the most ignorant and selfish state around.

  • Sen. McCain is right !
    July 21, 2008 1:13 p.m.

Read between the lines. Iraq's government welcomed Democratic presidential wannabe candidate Barack Hussein Obamaism (because water seeks its own level and muslim's get along). B. Hussein Obamaism also plans meetings with U.S. military commanders?, (it's the President that runs the military, not some halfbaked senator in Congress that is no expert of war or anything else for that matter). It's those 5 STAR General's on the ground there that make any timeframe that falls within THEIR withdrawal plan, and reports this info back to their President, and B. Hussein Obamaism, guess what, you'll NEVER be a President of anything nor the United States of America, count on that. Barack Hussein Obamaism trails? (meaning way behind him, somewhere out in the North 40 in left field) Republican John McCain, in the polls. It'll be a landslide in 2008, and McCain and Mitt will win this election hands down.

  • Eh, What?
    July 21, 2008 10:32 a.m.

It matters not what the state of the Afghanistan and/or Iraq war is, Obama's camp will find a way to justify his flip-flopping, claiming that Obama knew this or that all along and advocated this or that approach all along. And, of course, no matter what, he is always right on target. The only thing we all must agree on is that the Obama camp so far has been very adept at being able to pull victory out of the jaws of defeat, but sooner or later those tactics are revealed for what they are--flip-flopping, wishful thinking and deceit so watch out for the day of reckoning.

  • Oh Please

So much for the Bush-McCain 100 Years War...

  • Capt. Smash
    July 21, 2008 9:10 a.m.

Wow! Obama was right on target.

You don't say? I think everyone agrees on that.

Senator McCain is clinging to the "surge" for dear life, and it has been successful on some levels. But the surge represents a shift from "Bring it on!", kick down the doors, de-Baathification, and the "shock and awe" approach to paying former insurgents to work with us instead of agaisnt us.

The "surge" is the triumph of reason for rhetoric - finally sending in enough troops to get the job done (like General Shinseki suggested before the invasion), negotiating with our former "enemies" to find common ground - the very approach that Senator Obama has advocated all along.
