But fans may have to wait longer than expected for film
The idea of Jon Favreau directing "The Ultimate Avengers" might be promising -
but not as promising as if Marvel scrapped the project."Iron Man"
was a great summer movie that was only slightly marred by a gimicky stinger taht
still managed to be kind of fun. "The Incredible Hulk" was not even a movie - it
was a haphazard, thrown together peice of dreck that was badly acted, full of
awful effecvts and then turned out to be nothing more than a 2 hour commercial
for "Avengers.". It was Marvel's biggest dissapointment yet, and after "X-Men 3"
and "Spider-Man 3," that is saying a lot.If there is one thing
Marvel is proving increasingly, it is that they have no respect for the
intelligence of audiences. Thank goodness FAvreau and Downey do - pushing back
"Iron Man 2" to do it right is the best possible news.
