I have commented now and then if I feel strongly about something but usually I
don't enjoy reading the comments column because I don't respect the opinions
expressed there. Some of them just want to be nasty and others don't have a
clue. Some of the coments are so narrow minded they can't see past themselves
and others are so pemissive and broad that I wonder if they have any distinct
personal beliefs at all,(and I'm not specifically referring to church
standards). I guess must fall into the catagory of "no ones opinion matters
except my own" and I don't care about yours. So there!!!

Hey Lurker, Line upon line, precept on precept. Here a little, there a
little.
Look up in the D&C about spiritual gifts. You don't have to
"believe the way everybody else does."
By their works ye shall know
them.
Being "faithful" and "enduring to the end" can refer to those
that haven't received a witness of many principles but still live as God
commands and go about doing good and trusting in God rather than the arm of
flesh.
See you on the other side.

Well, I just don't feel smart enough to comment mostly. And I'm trying to cut
down on the amount of hours spent reading them. Where do all the bloggers find
all the time? I find the same bloggers on different sites.

I have lurked for years. I comment rarely. The reason is because I don't believe
the Church is true the way everybody else does, and I know I will be criticized
and condemned for it. They will call me a sinner. I'm not. I follow the
commandments. So I go to Church and sit in silence and I read LDS blogs and
refrain from commenting. But it isn't working. Something needs to change. Either
I need to get out of the Church or comment and share my feelings or something.

Okay, far be it from me to lurk...
I was just mentioning to my
husband a couple of days ago (but lacking the correct terminology, until now --
thank you, Emily) that comments are the currency of the blogospere, and that
reading without commenting is essentially stealing (or at least freeloading.)
:)
(Although there are times when I simply have nothing to add....)
