as a truck driver i see it every day. i have been in and driven a truck (18 wheeler) in 27 of the 50 states. the only place i have ever been that has worse drivers than utah is las Angeles ca. and in the last year or two it has become almost a toss up in which is the worst. its like every one is in a big hurry to die. i was recently in las vegas. on a very busy friday afternoon at 5:30 pm traffic was horrible yet i would rather drive 20 miles in there rush hour traffic than two blocks in slc.

I have lived in 6 states during my life. Utah definitely has the most irrationally aggressive drivers.

-Driving aggressive does not make you look cool! You look like an animal with no self preservation instinct.

What is with all the pent up aggression? Can you not find another release besides using a half ton bullet to release aggression?

Hang up the phone talk to your kids/spouse or maybe spent a little time self reflecting. I have seen so many moms on the phone while their kids sit their with blank stares. Ill bet these same moms are on the phone telling everyone who will answer how busy they are how they wish they had more time to spend with their children.

I stand and cheer for you Victor! VERY well said. It is like an illness here, like a mass psychosis.

Slow Down! Stop Tailgating. IT ISN'T WORTH IT!!!

It's not Utah roads that prove deadly, it's Utah DRIVERS and there is a difference. I am the type of driver who actually obeys speed limits as laws, not mere suggestions. I always get bullied on the highway. People dangerously tailgate me and then pass me and give me a look as if I was retarded. I believe it is because of these attitudes, especially the tailgating (I guess they are trying to send the message: either you speed up and break the laws for me or else I will rear-end you) that so many people in Utah lose their lives in car crashes. I also have noticed news articles usually never mention the speeding problem. It's like an ill culture that tolerates criminal driving habits here in UT, and it is costing the lives of innocent people.
