I love BYU volleyball and I think Taylor is the most exciting player there since Ossie Antonetti. Ossie was only 6'1" and had a HUGE vertical. Great things are ahead for Taylor and BYU volleyball.

Having played basketball pick up games on the Field house court it is a very nice court to play on. There's some extra spring under that floor. It's actually pretty well known around the MPSF that the altitude affects the Cali teams a little in Provo but that they get extra spring on there jumps on that court.

I agree with the comments. BYU Volleyball is world class and really fun. We attend SoCal games when we can, and BYU is always the big game at UCI, UCLA, and USC. We're the ones they have to beat. Fun to watch, and simply amazing athletes! How can they get those jump serves in the court? How can anybody dig a server out? How can they hit 3 or 4 feet above the net?

    Mind blowing.

Great to see some news and insider stuff about the Men's Volleyball team. Over the last decade they have been the most successful team in BYU athletics; their matches are thrilling and the best volleyball teams and players in America are playing in Provo all season long. I read every precious word printed about this team, and watch/attend every match I can.

The picture tells thousand words. Look how far above the net Sander is, especially in relation to his opponent. He is over 3 ft above his opponent. Based on that picture I would say his vertical in a game is much higher than even he realizes. I would estimate it approaches 50 inches! What, gravity has no effect on this guy? He is a freak of nature. I'd like to see him in a slam dunk contest.

The caliber of the teams that BYU competes with are the best in the nation. It is not uncommon that the top ranked programs all are schools BYU face every week. Here we go with the list of schools, the UCLA Bruins, Anteaters of Irvine, USC, Pepperdine, Longbeach State, Stanford, University of San Diego, Hawaii all bring it to the court every night. I know there is someone I am forgetting ?

Oh well you all can see the schools, it makes for exciting play. I never miss a home game.

"The team goal at BYU is to always win a national championship."

I love it. BYU is to volleyball what Duke is to basketball and Alabama is to football. When you are the best of the best your goal should always be winning it all and nothing less.
