Gymnastics does have a preseason, Utah was ranked number 5 in the preseason
poll. The first regular season poll was released last week, in which Utah was
number 2, but dropped to 3 during the bye week. While there is not much
difference between the preseason and regular season because every performance is
factored into the ranking, the statement that Utah had not posted a regular
season 197 since 2009 is still technically true.
