Sounds like Mexico ought to be taking a few lessons from these Romney citizens of theirs.

If all Mexico was run like this enclave--and all Mexicans embraced and enjoyed this uncorrupted system of living--there would not be the problems other Mexicans illegally coming to the US are seeking to escape.

Much adieu about nothing. This issue about his roots is overstated. He hasn't much connection to his distant cousins just like any us, regardless. He father and grandfather never spoke Spanish. They didn't stay and where so far away. Holy cow, give Mitt a break.

How and why does Mitt need to meet his cousins he never knew either all these years? Just because he did not is not of our business.

Romney's relatives were NOT illegals either.

There is not much the press can find negative about him that is newsworthy, like the other lead opponent.

Let's get to the issues and let's move forward.

@awsomeron - I hear this comment about staying home from many on the Republican side - we may not get the person we would choose to be our candidate, but we can't stay home. We have to vote against Obama. Simple as that, we can't have 4 more years of Obama.

Mitt is right! His Roots are not there. I would be both a false claim and a lame claim, would be phoney and he would be laughed at.

His Father was brought back to the good old USA.

That owuld be like saying that I am English because my father forced me to go to England for a year and 1/2 when I was a Teenager, maybe true but it just does not wash. Mitt is right.

Right Now if it is either Mitt or Newt, I am staying home. I Hawaii you can skip an Office, it just comes up on the Machine as Office not Voted On. Same in a way as None Of The Above. If the Mayor Election does not go to the General Election then I am evan more likely to stay home.

No... that is not the irony of the whole thing. His family left the states to avoid the law during polygamy. The entered Mexico illegally, stayed, then once the religious issue with the government was gone, they returned. The family there never assimilated, but rather keep their own Mormon communities. If you can't see why that might not be something someone who has had political aspirations would not like to high light about their past, I guess we need to paint you pictures.

Now none of this should be help against Mit, he had nothing to do with it. But it does draw a deep contrast between Mits stated political views, and the history of his family.

Why the importance of the comment about "tall men with light hair who speak English?
Would it be a problem if Mitt Romney and his family in Mexico had Latino genes and heritage?
