    this is an old nato member and my father fought with them in the Korean war and was glad they where there. dont mess up another country for us. so many hate us now from the wonderfull war in Iraq.

    Turkey is right on this one. They are indeed our ally and a critical one. Do they have a beef with Israel? Currently yes, and they certainly have good reason for it. However, what is most important is how they are dealing with it. They are setting a better example for the Arab World than Israel's neighbors have done for the last 60 years. Turkey isn't attacking Israel out of spite. Now you can say it's because of the pragmatic realization that Israel has nuclear weapons, but I assure you, Turkey is quite capable of developing nuclear weapons in a hurry if they wanted to...certainly more capable than their power rival Iran. Turkey is demonstrating restraint and leadership. Just because they don't do exactly what we tell them, doesn't mean they are our ally. It means they are intelligent in letting us know we can't order around the world.
