'...Detroit actually did go bankrupt undo BO and that Mitt Romney had nothing to do with you bloated numbers for potential job loss.' - deep in thought | 4:06 p.m. Jan. 12, 2012

How is this a 'bloated number?'

    1) it is actually released in CONTRACDICTION TOO the '1 in 10' orgininal estimations of job losses...

by the very SAME company that Mitt Romney was writting...for!

I apologize if it is from 2008. But that's what Romney said!

If it I had posted this in response to, say Michelle Bachmann, I could understand your crtiticsm, but it was FROM, Romney.

Can't run away, from your own record.

The rest is your opinion. I cannot change that if you do not want it to change.

Let me close that I am not FORCING you to read my post's. If you don't like it, skip it.

You are taking this too seriously.

Perhaps that is why your 16yr old daughter is listening to her ipod?

My point is, relax. It's ok.

    And brings you, zero harm.

    Good day.

Give Romney points for being innovative. Strapping a dog carrier (even is that isn't true) to the roof of the car is being innovative. Sounds like something Chevy Chase would almost do, if he had a dog carrier.

I was just not talking about you, but since you have engaged me I will respond with my beef against you. "Let Detroit go bankrupt" is a headline you have used a hundred times. Me, at least twice, and dozens of other have painstakingly explained that Detroit actually did go bankrupt undo BO and that Mitt Romney had nothing to do with you bloated numbers for potential job loss. Next day I see the same headline on a political article. I see a few more people try to explain it to you - to no avail. It's like the 16 year old in my Sunday School class who would rather talk when she wants to and then listen to her IPOD when I talk.

Next, your posts are so long and you somehow hit the political articles as soon as they come out, leaving me to scroll through dozens of headlines before reaching new interesting posts. One or two headlines would be sufficient to make the point associated with the particular article. And would keep me reading what you have to say. I am interested in what you have to say, just not when I see it is what you have already said a hundred times.

Third, a little middle ground when it comes to BO. Yes, he has killed some scary thugs but he has also spent billions on bailout programs that went nowhere (cash for clunkers). For the first time in history, the USA has had a downgraded credit rating, we have to raise the debt ceiling AGAIN this month. You would gain a lot more credibility if you said, yes, BO isn't perfect but look at the good things he has done. I would then believe you and gain new appreciation for our current president. Right now you talk like David Axelrod.

I have stated before that I appreciate that you don't come across anti-mormon. That really divided the thoughtful posters from the real trolls, but please keep this a discussion and not a lecture, it's so much more interesting that way.

'Why do left wing liberals troll the comment boards of a right winged heavily LDS paper?' - deep in thought | 2:52 p.m. Jan. 12, 2012

I will assume this was directed at me.

    Few points:

    1) If you do not want contention, do not invite the public. As there will ALWAYS be people who disagree with you. That is not 'invading' anything to INVITE the public.

    2) In order to change 'hearts and minds' do you appeal to a demographic that already agrees with you? No. You GO TO the people.

I would use LDS missionaries as an example to support this.

    3) What other venue for this 'negative energy' would you suggest? Violence? Contacting a person's reps and making their voice heard does NOT make it an 'attack' against your values. Whatever they may be.

    Freedom of speech?

    4) One of the post's was from...last month. So the claim of using the 'same' arguments over and over is moot when new information is presented.

No canidate is perfect. No canidate is totally evil. I never made that claim.

But if you feel I am 'not' presenting the 'whole picture'...

    then PRESENT, it.

Million $$ Question...Why do left wing liberals troll the comment boards of a right winged heavily LDS paper? Just curious. There are so many other papers that are sympathetic to their causes. The majority of newspapers are liberal leaning - and yet they come here, to the DN. Probably the most conservative paper in the Mid-west. And they post, day after day, week after week. And not new stuff either, the same old thing over and over. Are they looking for an argument from their conservative counterparts? Even when good evidence is presented to why their arguments may be flawed or weak, they come back the next day with the very same argument and post again with nothing "learned." Perhaps this release of negative energy is part of their daily they don't take it off on their dog or their friends. Because to me, it seems that there is no sincere interest in a two sided conversation or a give and take, learn and become better. Only the strange satisfaction gleaned in lambasting with an almost deceivingly narrow view of the whole picture. No political candidate is perfect, yet none are a caricature total evil or stupidity either.

This is the part of the Republican Primaries I have been waiting for.

Where Republicans forgo the teachings of Ronald Regan, and tear each other down in an attempt to get the Republican nomination.

As a Democrat, speaking for myself, I am taking notes.

Romney's horrible job 'creation' numbers with Bain...
Gingrich's third wife and a 'family values' canidate...
Perry leaving Texas on fire to go to the GOP debates...

    All very entertaining.

I admit, I still need to do research on Ron Paul and Rick Santroum.

Or, Republicans could do it FOR me...

while they are paying for ads to tear each other down. :)

    Good day.
