Utah notebook: Cold shooting continues to be a sore spot for Utes

    I will admit that Coach Krystkowiak is the expert here, but I would think that right now shooting would be the most important thing. I don't care how well they rebound or how well they rotate on defense. If they can't make a shot, they will lose every game (except one). I'm not saying the other stuff isn't important, but fix the shooting first, then work on the other stuff.

    Poor shooting may be a result of poor defense in the opening minutes of a game. Visiting teams open with a series of uncontested shots. The Utes counter with running the play clock down to "1" and then throwing up a crazy shot. Next thing you know, Utes are down by 10.

    Idaho State looks like Utah's best shot at a victory on their remaining schedule.

    I would like to see Utah win this game. Winning would be a boost for their confidence and would certainly help get the target of constant criticism off their backs.

    I think Utah can win this game, and I sincerely wish them well.
