No love for Stephen Rogers? He made some big baskets and his point totals were 2nd only to Noah.

There is no doubt that Noah is the cornerstone of this team, but with so many young, high potential players; the Cougs will be even better in March than they are today.

It will be interesting to see how Carlino changes the dynamics of the team on December 17. Will Collinsworth recover enough to log significant minutes this year? There are still a few lingering questions, but most of my questions about how good this team is and will become were answered in Chicago last week and at Energy Solutions arena on Saturday.

This team will win 23 or 24 games in the regular season - 25+ after the WCC tournament. And has a very good shot at making it past the first round of the NCAA tournament. I anticipate three very exciting games against a very good Gonzaga team - one in Utah, one in Washington, and one in Las Vegas - to see if we can knock them of the perch they have owned for a decade.

Rock is an opinion column, not a beat writer. He and Harmon, and Gordon and Monson from SLTrib are paid to write their opinions. Athletes transfer all of the time. Heaps should do what is best for him and his wife. I hope he stays, I think he will be good. It will take some humility to sit out a year, but if he has it, he can be very successful his Jr and Sr years.

    Nice job by our bigs.

I am not a big fan of Rock. On KSL TV tonight, he backed away from his article as far as Mendenhall is concerned, but encouraged Heaps to transfer.

What sense does that make? If he transfers, he sits a year. If he stays, he can redshirt, and take the job for his jr. and sr. year as did Young, Bosco, McMahon and Doman (ok, Doman was 2 games his jr. year and then his sr. year).

Rock, we know where BYU is bowling, but you said Utah is going to a 2 million bowl? What bowl is that?

Rock, you are encouraging athletes to transfer based on playing time? You, my friend, are what's completely wrong with sports. And I'll say that about athletes who transfer to BYU for playing time. The whole idea is sickening and you are purporting it based on your feelings about BYU and not on principle.

please go comment on a team with only one win this year. I will only comment on a team that just keeps winning.

    Now to Cougar fan:

    Rock: Good
    Harmon: Good

Amazing how things change based on the opinion of the writer.
