gdog, look for former Ute Sione Pouha to be a Pro Bowl candidate this year. He's
dominating the line of scrimmage (except in that awful game against the Raiders)
and forcing fumbles. Whit and Sitake's defensive guys are killing it in the
league right now!
I watched the Ravens last two games and Kruger has had impact on both games. He
is healthy and schooled in the defense now. Kruger could be in the news a lot
more if he stays healthy and shines like he has of late. Eric Weddle
is tied for the league lead in INTs. He had a brilliant game last Monday despite
Phillip Rivers fumbling the snap (late game blunder). I love Weddle but I did
wonder if the Chargers making him the highest paid safety in the league was a
little wacky. Well Weddle has had a great season. he led the Chargers in tackles
last year and is the League pick off artist this year.Former Utes
are doing well in the NFL right now. Alex Smith has finally been put
in a situation to succeed. He has proven how tough and resilient he is. Alex has
been beating up on and off the field for the last 6 years. Sean
Smith and Paul Soleai and Koa Misi are starters in Miami as well.
If Kruger turns out to be half the football player as he was a missionary out
here (in KC) - look out, the man will be unstoppable! Hope his brothers end up
on missions as well! As a Y fan, I've always had a soft spot for his
success...nice to see him resurface again.
Love the Krugers! Thanks Orem!!Go Utes!!
Elder Krugar Kansas City still loves you Brother!
Kruger has come along way! From being attacked/stabbed and wondering if he would
ever get back into football to being a contributor on an NFL team with a lot of
potential and upside! Quite the journey for Mr Kruger! We are proud of you here
in Utah! GO UTES!
Have to wonder if any of the athletes carrying clipboards at the Y wish they
could have had a coach like Whittingham. Just sayin.......
Great article about another successful Ute in the NFL. With talents like that,
it's no wonder they had been very successful. I hope as time goes on there will
be more and more of these kind of stories about kids from the U, BYU, and other
Utah schools who make it to the NFL. Thanks for sharing!Go Cougs!
