Should be some great games for the 5A playoffs this year. If I had to put money on the winner who takes it all though I'd have to say no one is getting in Lone Peaks way. The Knights are going to use and abuse anyone who faces them on the field. Best of luck to all teams!

Adam, If they are wearing a Cottonwood uniform, they are Cottonwood's own players.

Could you imagine what Cottonwood would truly be like if they played with thier own players? That score would have been 148 - 0. Maybe next years recruiting class will be better for Cottonwood.

Wow same guys saying the same stuff against bingham that you were saying week 2...the one thing your right about is it will be a different game, just like alta is better than before so is bingham. The only difference is binghams O will score when they are in the red zone. The first game should have been 42-7...the second one will be! If alta makes it there.

That was a great game last night. I was laughing when I counted that Alta had more seniors than Cottonwood had players on the field. I am not sure they should have ever been placed in the 5A. Looking at there roster I counted 8 seniors, and thats not just the starters thats 8 seniors. Alta dominated all game I dont see Bingham having a chance at winning a second game against this Hawk team.

binghamalum you're right about Engstrom not getting the ball enough last time they played Bingham, but based on the last 6 games the coaches have long since figured that one out. Blackner didn't play a very good game v Bingham but since then has been on a tear and teams can't just focus on Engstrom or they'll get beat in the air. Looking forward to another black and blue game at Rice Eccles, I'd love to see the Hawks get another shot at Bingham.
Brighton is a better team than you are giving them credit for. Their win over Jordan was no fluke and they'll give Fremont all they can handle in the first round. I just hope Bingham can survive their second round game at Fremont so Alta gets a chance at the Miners.

such a solid team, hope they dont give the ball to engstrom like last time they played, HE NEEDS THE BALL MORE!
makes plays so much, its unreal how much u keep the ball away from him, when you have an awesome defense, you run the ball, end the games quicker, but u have not done that yet.

Good team! Will be at Rice ECCLES no problem!

ANOTHER bingham Alta game, I feel Alta is the favorite this time around, even though binghams won 5 straight.
That defense is awesome! Just if there Offensive cord can actually call plays, they will be fine
21 against Brighton is not good! Wait I mean 14 is not good, 7 was scored on a fumble recover return of 50 yards!

Hopin for another black and blue!

Good job last night Alta. Im pulling for you guys in the 5A ranks. I would love to see you and Bingham have another shot at each other.

You wont hear me say this too often but I will today as I was last night.

Best of luck to you boys in the play offs.

Alta left no doubt who the best team in Region 3 is and are playing great football heading into the playoffs. It sounds like both Handley and Barker will be able to go next week vs. Syracuse.
Cottonwood was outplayed, outcoached, and completely outclassed last night by Alta, they had no answer for Engstrom and Alta got pressure on the CW qb all night with their d-line.

Great finish to the season, Hawks! Best wishes in the playoffs! A good friend of mine is a coach for Syracuse, so it'll be fun to watch that game. But don't go easy on them for my frien's sake, by any means...
And a speedy recovery to Alta receivers Handley and Barker! Hope to see you guys back next Friday!
