Lawmakers, White House regroup on jobs

    They passed a jobs bill in the house. That one that creates IRS jobs so that they can go through tax returns to make sure no federal dollars went to abortions. And uh... that's basically it.

    It is so difficult to trust this President, as it seems his every move cuts jobs, does not, overall, create more.

    The Republicans got into office in 2010 by promising to take action on jobs. The only action they have taken on jobs is to kill every bill that would have created any.

    Their only plan is to kill any bill that will improve the economy and then blame the malaise on Obama. It's cynical, partisan politics at its very worst.

    Robert Gates, who worked under several presidents from both parties, recently identified gridlock as the single most dangerous risk to our country's security. And gridlock has become the GOP's first and only strategy.
