I didn't say they are THE three best, I said they are three OF the best. Please don't twist my words so you can slam the opinion you want to attribute to me. The stats back up my claim. 5-4 in conference play would send us to a bowl game. I'm good with that.

BCS conferences have tougher competition week after week, that's where the automatic qualification comes from. Utah is on the path, now just have to get better and play to a standard every game, take your lumps and learn, you can rise to the top. Making it in the big 12 is not about moral victories, but victories over worthy opponents.

"We have the best qb recruit in the state of California in travis Wilson, and the Best recruit in the state of Utah in Chase Hansen."

    Uh....wrong. On both counts. LOL!

Duckhunter.... Have you even looked at the recruits the University Of Utah has gotten for our 2012 class? We have the best QB recruit in the state of California in Travis Wilson, and the Best recruit in the state of Utah in Chase Hansen. Our recruiting success has picked up in recent years and we now out recruit your cougars! I now see the whole reason the BYU fan base is looked down upon nationwide, your fan base is cocky, disrespectful and like Max Hall would say, "Classless." The last time your fan base down in Provo has had anything to cheer about was in... 1984??? Hmm.. that seems a bit right. Us on the other hand have had 2 undefeated seasons and now we are apart of a BCS conference. Your cougars will soon fall into irrelevancy. GO UTES! 13-0 2008 12-0 2004, 54-10

R.A.W: I don't think Mormon Ute was claiming they are the three best teams in the conference, just three of the best. Certainly Oregon and Stanford are the two best right now, and you're right, we're fortunate not to play them. But next to those two, ASU is probably next best, and USC and Wash. are right up there in the upper half of the conference. To call them three of the best teams is not much of a stretch. And you can't deny that the second half of our schedule should be easier than the first.

    Mormon Ute,

"our three losses have come at the hands of three of the best teams in the conference."

Utah's losses have all been at the hands of good teams. But saying they are the best in the PAC-12 is some serious spin.
So far Utah is 0-3 in the PAC-12 and they are fortunate to avoid the 2 best teams in the conference. #7 Stanford and #9 Oregon.

I think Utah will finish 5-4 in conference play. But it could easily be worse with Wynn out for the season.

Either you are paid to make up and spew your skewed nonsense (Rush Limbaugh/James Carville) or somewhere in your past you think you were terribly wronged or mistreated by the U. As so aptly described above, you really are insufferable.

Duckhunter, you really are insufferable. Do you have to post on every single Ute article?

Duckhunter, you must have an extremely short memory. Otherwise, I can't imagine how you can talk so much smack about the team that destroyed the cougarettes 54-10. However bad you may think Utah is, BYU is obviously much worse.

    @mormon ute

BYU has nothing to do with your teams failures but if it helps you feel better to deflect the conversation that direction then do what you need to.

In the meantime there will be no pac10 championship game, no rose bowl, no bowl game of any sort more than likely, and no batch of top level recruits waiting to sign on with the utes. I admire your upbeat attitude but sadly reality is beginning to kick you in the teeth and eventually even you will break. I feel badly for you but there are enough utah "fans" like chris b, hedgehog, howard s, and kostacoolguyduckhunterrarticunohondo around that the pleasure I get from seeing this crash down more than offsets the pity I feel for the guys like you.

    Life's tough sometimes.

I think that the USC and BYU games gave many Utah fans false expectations for what this season was going to be like.

The media is doing a great job of overlooking the fact that our three losses have come at the hands of three of the best teams in the conference. They each have only 3 losses and USC only loss was to one of the other 3, ASU. Did anybody realistically think we would beat 3 of the best in our conference in the first year? The only one of these three teams I thought we could beat before the season started was Washington, but they are proving to be better than anyone predicted. Coach Witt is right on in saying we aren't that far off. I believe we will see some reasonable success through the rest of the season.

Duckhunter, what has happened to all that talent the media said you guys had two years ago. This is the second season with virtually the same talent on both sides of the ball and your players are stinking it up. When your OC admits the players can't execute the plays he's designed, that's a clear indication a lot of people over-estimated the talent level. Good luck upgrading that talent with Idaho and Idaho State on your schedule.

This article is certainly the type of national attention a program wants. This really ought to bring in the recruits.
