Just watched Herriman. Tremendous team. They will make some noise in the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised to see them on the turf!

Eagles, a couple of more weeks and the Rock will be home!

Where is binghamalum? She is usually ripping Herriman on every article and commenting about how they would never make it in 5A. It is also a shock to not see some comments from Gunner on how Herrian has not played anyone.

Great comment Motorbike I agree with you 100%.

I have to say I gained mad respect for the Herriman program at the JV game yesterday. Probably the best football game I have watched in years. Both teams represented their schools and communities well. It was sad some one had to win and some one had to lose. Both teams wanted it and gave it everything they had. I expect the Varsity game tonight to be no different.

    Benzo/Mykal/Golden Helmet:
Great comments it's always good to see you guys post. I always enjoy your comments. Be careful on the road Mykal and best of luck to your Soaring Eagles for tonights game.

It goes with out saying that I am picking my Eagles to pull out a hard fought victory tonight. It's going to be a great game either way, I can't wait!

Best of luck to both teams!

    Go EAGLES!

I am with Motorbike. Let's all get behind Coach Dupaix. This will be a good game. Eagles will win.

On a side note, is it any surprise that BigBenzo has commented? Love his school spirit! I wish that more Skyline boosters were like Benzo, any article that implies anything about Herriman, he is all over it. Skyline supporters need to step it up.

I think this will be the"Game of the Week"..Good luck to both teams. If I didnt have to Drive to vernal to watch my son play,I difinitely would be watching..!! Herriman and its high scoring offense matched up against coach Dupaix and his greedy Defense....!!

May both teams have a great and injury free game..!

meanwhile,I get to drive 4 hrs to watch my JD SOARING EAGLES vs Unitah..!!!

Coach Dupaix is such a stud. Skyline has been extremely fortunate to have him for so long.
While the Eagles were lucky to have such a talent pool during the 90's, that talent pool is waning due mostly to an aging area (a few other factors as well).
Because of that I just don't see Skyline being able to get back to the top anytime soon, but with Coach Dupaix there they should remain respectable whereas otherwise I don't think they would be.
By the way, for all those who pointed at Skyline for recruiting back in their hay-day, completely false. It's not to say they didn't get some good out of area kids that wanted to play there, but Coach Dupaix never recruited a day in his life. That was always such a downer to hear that bantered about instead of giving props to an incredible and ethical high school Coach.
I hope when Dupaix gets to 299 wins (2 more) that Skyline alumni will get to the following game and pack it out wherever it is to show thanks to the greatest high school Coach in state of Utah history.
    Go Eagles!

This should be an awesome game. The winner is guaranteed one of the four Region 7 playoff spots and has the inside track to the Region 7 crown.

Skyline has a good team and staff. I believe this will be a hard fought game that won't be decided until the 4th quarter. I believe Herriman has the momentum, talent and coaching to triumph in this game. The juniors and seniors have valuable experience from last year being in 5A and the playoffs. I believe the Riverton game will prove to be more valuable than most think. The Riverton game gave Herriman experience running against the Wing T/option; experience being down and coming from behind to win and it gave them experience playing in overtime.

The fact that Skyline is the long time elite program in Utah and Herriman is the new upstart, the fact that Coach DuPaix and Coach Wilson were former rivals (Skyline vs Highland) and the fact that Coach DuPaix's son is a coach for Herriman make this one of the most interesting games of the year.

Look for Herriman to pull off the "upset" and move to 6-0 2-0 GO MUSTANGS!

Should be a great game. Two veteran coaching staffs. First-time match up between these schools. Have to go with the Mustangs, though. Their speed, athleticism and depth overwhelms the Eagles in the end. Herriman has already seen the option this year and defended it nicely (win vs. Riverton with their wing-t option). I just don't see the Eagle's run game being that effective against this Mustang defense. Watched Skyline's victory over Juan Diego a few weeks ago and just wasn't that impressed. We'll find out tonight! GO MUSTANGS!
