The rivalry is already different. You can feel it in the air - or the lack of it in the air - it's different. There is less smack talk around the water-cooler, fewer articles in the paper, and less interest in the game.

Chris B: "We done play Stanford"

-the only thing worse than your English is your predictions.

Linus: "I hate the rivalry. I want to see it ended; permanently."

-thank goodness you aren't the final word on it

Why is REAL Salt Lake playing its match at the same time as the game? It seems that they would of held the match earlier in the day.

We could be in for a real barn burner. Last week BYU and Utah both cloaked their real offenses and defenses for this weeks game. Why havent the zealots on both sides of the fence espoused that this week like some did last week. Because they would be admitting how important this game is to their fragile inferiority complexes. Doesnt everyone know a win for Utah proves the church is not true and a win for BYU proves it is. Time to grow up and quit living our lives through a 60 minute game played once a year.

I am a citizen of the state of Utah, and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I graduated from Brigham Young University, and most of my children graduated from the University of Utah. I am, therefore, conflicted. I hate the rivalry. I want to see it ended; permanently.

These two great schools have gone their separate ways. Let Chris B be at peace. Let us all be at peace.

Utah's chance of playing in BCS game:

    Considering -
    We done play Stanford
We don't play Oregon(until title game)
USC can't go to title game
We're one of top 2 teams in Division(USC the other)

30% Chance Utah plays in Rose Bowl
70% Chance Oregon plays in Rose Bowl

byu's chance of playing BCS game

0% chance, like every other year

    Utah 31
    byu 17

    Mark it Down!

The biggest sporting event in the state each year, he added, "is what it is."

With all due respect Kyle, I have to disagree. It is the biggest game of the year maybe for some people. However, I'd have to say that playing USC, winning the division, winning the conference, or possibly the Rose Bowl would be MUCH bigger games than the BYU game.

I can see where the Utah game is very big for BYU fans. After all, isn't that their goal for the year is to be the state champion? Utah has other goals, which include going to a PAC12 bowl and winning their division and conference. Beating the team down south only helps pad the overall record.
