    It is interesting that a person with a serious federal felony conviction is still eligible to be a doctor under Utah standards.

    And, it is extremely rare for officers to be thrown into Leavenworth for a year and given a "Dishonorable Discharge." That takes some real serious criminal conduct.

    Utah should raise the bar to be a doctor, and restrict those who are convicted felons. At least prohibit them from prescribing controlled drugs, and perhaps run daily background checks on them (as is done on every holder of a Utah Concealed Weapons Permit).
