It would be interesting to know how many of these Christians were killed by
Christians of a different sect? Or how do these numbers compare to
non-Christians killed by Christians? Also, since many Christians teach that
their God will soon be returning to earth and in his wake killing everyone who
isn't of their faith, these numbers are just a drop in the bucket compared to
the slaughter that awaits people like myself if the moment so many Christian's
pray for ever ends up happening.
I'm glad to see this kind of information getting media attention. Even here,
though, the numbers are quite low. Bill Warner of the Center for the Study of
Political Islam puts the number of Christian deaths to Islamic jihad over 1400
years as follows:Christians 60 millionHindus 80
millionBuddhists 10 millionAfricans 120 millionTotal
I find it very interesting that when looking at martyrs, they don't look at
those who were killed because of their religious beliefs during a war.Of course, it is much easier to play the victim if you pick and choose what
information you want to look at and publish.
obviously anyone being killed or harmed for the perceived differences should be
condemned. Having said that I have to agree with the above posters the lack of
access to the original research and the lack of context in this article and the
two links is rather disappointing leaving one to wonder what the intent of the
writers really is.
Voter is right. Not a lot of context here. It helps fan the fires of victimhood,

There's some major context missing from this news story. Perhaps it was missing
also from the original presentation being quoted. How were these numbers
determined and how does that compare with those being killed simply because they
are Muslims or Jews or some other faith in today's world? It seems
*particularly* un-Christian to not consider the context of how this compares to
the rest of God's children . . .
To justify killing someone only because of their beliefs would mean that others
are equally justified in killing you. The whole world would fall apart under
such a doctrine. J.S. warned of this false doctrine in the King Follett
Very disturbing. Where is this happening? What governments are allowing this to
