    There is no "Shanghai", It is Beijing. The article states that the altar has become a stage. As a Catholic Navy veteran, that is the question that many Catholics ask about present day Catholicity with the "altar becoming a stage". The Communist Chinese have an agenda which is altogether different that those on Taiwan who were greatly influenced by the Brits. What is their "real motivation" in renovating this great church? As someone who has visited Romania with the Sixth Fleet, I found churches there were museums. Is this what this really is?
