I read this editorial tonight and really liked it. Most people like me just like to comment on generalities and platitudes and not "wonkery". Ideally, there wouldn't be any wonkery because in a true market system there is no room for "wonkery". Supply, Demand, Prices dictate - but that's not the world we live in. At least with Healthcare managed at the State level you might be able to walk in some bureaucrat's office and say "what's up with this?" but at the National level you can forget about it.

Senator Dan's reform needs a lot more publicity so people can see just how dangerous it really is. Under it, doctors will be compensated on a capitation basis, which means they have no incentive to see any patient--they get paid anyway. Doctors will be taking public $$$ without rendering any services! Dan L is a think-tank consultant with no actual knowledge of how the health-care system works. The Obama system is far better because it relies on centralized record-keeping and actual outcome tracking.
