I feel sorry for Rose. Should have capitalized on Jimmer's successful season to jump to a legitimate contender program.

Samuelson was a class act when he said, That yes Coach Rose, in comparison with other schools and his ability, that he is underpaid.

Wish KSL would has stuck with the press conference when Coach Rose got to the mike.

Are you new to on-line message boards? You've obviously been duped by the trolls, namely Duckhunterr and GoUtes.

Cougar Blue - There are two Duckhunters. Duckhunter is a great guy and a great BYU fan......duckhunterr....not so much.

What a great year and looking for more to come. Go Cougars!

New five year contract through 2015-2016 for Dave Rose - Tom Holmoe refers to Coach Rose as "our coach". BYU was committed to doing whatever was necessary to keep "our coach".

Sorry GoUtes the Coach K was around long before you hired your coach k. You cannot steal what was before. You have becoem the thief stealing the moniker Coach k.

Dear Duckhunter. It is NEVER a bad day to be a Cougar. If you aren't a Cougar you are not enjoying life to the fullest.

    Honor Code

"love to have that High School feeling when on the road!!"

That's what Utah home games have been like lately. Colorado fans will feel right at home in the HC.

Hey, maybe he's going to pull a lebron james and announce that he is taking his talents to Salt Lake City to be an assistant on the most powerful basketball program in the new 12 pac. Or maybe not...condolences to utE fans in Ann Arbor and Ms B's basement.

Coach "mini k" has got his work cut out for him. I liked Larry when he played for the Jazz and I think he is a good guy and a good coach. But I wouldnt wish this job on anyone. I wish him all the best but its going to be a frustrating "stint" for Larry. He is already getting a feel of what its going to be like up on the hill only hours after his presser when his best player tells him that he's leaving.

On the other hand, Coach Rose is riding high. He signs a new contract and he has some great talent coming in that will make BYU basketball very fun to watch for years to come.

Its sad, but true that the rich get richer and the poor get Coach Krystco. I think it goes something like that.

We didn't want Rose anyway... We have Coach K baby!

By the way, I heard some Duke fans calling their coach, 'Coach K'. What is up with that? First Miami steals out 'U' sign we make with our hands, then Michigan steals out "Team Down South" saying. I hear they call Ohio St the team down south. Give me a break. Now Duke is taking our nickname, 'Coach K'

    Nice try Duckhunterrrrrrrrrrr!

Yes, we've heard that Utah fans are giddy with excitement about getting such an awesome, big name coach. Good for U.

BYU will just have to limp along with one of the best coaches in college basketball - that's the kind of coach you'd expect to be one of the leading candidates for national coach of the year awards.

We'll try to remember to wave to U from the Big Dance next year, just so you won't feel completely excluded from the fun of March Madness.

You can bet KSL Radio will carry it.

@TheOfficialCall- 1280 is usually pretty good about providing a live feed from pressers like this.

It's a good day to be a Cougar fan. Football program on the rise and the Basketball program is going to seal up one of the best coaches in the NCAA at least for the next few years. Gotta love it. Expect a few more high profile basketball commits in the coming months as a result.

    Go Cougs!!!

I believe the press conference will probably be on BYU TV. A lot of cable and satellite systems carry that throughout the U.S. and the world.

Well, our big brothers up on the hill finally got their guy. Once that job was not open anymore and the Utes said "no thanks" to Dave Rose, he was more than willing to sign with us. Thank Goodness the Utes got someone better!

It just bothers me that with a once-in-a-generation player we only make the sweet 16. The Utes have been much further than we have in the NCAA tournament and they will get back their soon.

Its a bad day to be a cougar fan!

    How sweet it is!

We knew Coach Rose would not leave and BYU just sweetened the deal for him. WCC and Gonzaga, here we come and I'm expecting BYU to get an invitation to the 'dance in 2012!

And what's even better than this???

HD on ESPN and BYUtv!!! Great time to be a Cougar fan! Go BYU!

    Great news!

When Rose turned down Oklahoma, NC State, and Utah, we all knew he was staying at BYU, but it's nice to know it's finally official!

Rumor has it that renovations to the MC will also be announced.

    BYU fans are smiling today!

For some of you Ute fans who are still waiting for the announcement that Rose is going to come to Utah, this isn't it.

    Just an FYI
