'Uncle Tom' remark exposes pain in black community

    To speak of the issue here as "racism" is to speak inaccurately. That is not what we are dealing with. Racism is the assumption that people are inherently different because of their race, usually assuming members of one race are better than another.

    What we are dealing with here is bigotry and attempts to make people feel better by tearing others down and preventing their success. Anyone who tries to make it a bad thing that other people engage in learning needs to be shut down and not given a platform to express their degenerate ideas.

    This is a sad story, it exposes racism in the black community in a unique way. First against members of the same race, and clearly the standard is not to be white, the second affront. What happened to Martin Luther King's Dream?

    This shows the problem of trying to tie your identity and culture to your skin color,

    rather than trying to be white or black or whatever,

    maybe we would all be better off just trying to be intelligent, good, loving, and wise human beings.
