It' the system dummies. No defense and rebounding equals losses, plain and simple. Jerry's teams have never been good defenders anywhere on the court from the perimeter to the post. Just reflect back and look at this mans philophy's on both ends of the court and you will see that his staunch beliefs just do not work and are a reason why blue chip players don't want to play here. Look at the competive teams today and in the past and look at their ability to trade and sign free agents to verify this! Sack the coaching staff would be the exact place to start, then and only then will this team compete for a title.

Al Jefferson is not a center, and he'll struggle a lot when he's going up against 7-footers, particularly on defense. Unfortunately, Okur is not back in premium shape to take those minutes. I can't be upset about Fesenko not getting minutes last night because he was sick. I want to believe that if he were confident in getting minutes he'd try to play, but if you can't breathe, there's not much you can do anyway. Hopefully he can be available tonight. I still think Al needs to start at center, at least for the time being. But playing AK at power forward in the 2nd unit works better for Andrei than it does for the Jazz. They need him to start at SF, with Okur at PF and Fesenko at center in the 2nd unit. Jefferson ought to get a few more minutes at PF with either Okur or Fes at stretches in the game.

For the record, I pulled for this team in the truly rotten years, and I haven't jumped off the wagon. But what's going on right now isn't working.

The Jazz will never be a championship team as presently constituted. They are constantly playing people out of position. Jefferson would do better at PF, Millsap would do better coming off the bench at backup PF. Notice how Millsap's stats have dropped with him as a starter, especially his rebounding? CJ would be better starting at SG, Raja would be better coming off the bench at SG. Notice how Raja gives them almost nothing offensively most nights? Even his defense isn't great right now. Kobe just kept shooting right over him last night. Let Fes, Elson and Okur cover the minutes at C in the meantime. Give Evans more minutes. Give Hayward more minutes at backup SF to AK. Give Price more minutes between SG and backup PG. To improve long term, they need a better SG, and better C. Hopefully that can be resolved via trade or draft.

Bugoff.....CJ and AK combine for 25 points at the 3 position and that is a problem? Maybe I missed something but last time I looked, Jerry runs his offense thruough Dwill, Jefferson and Millsap. 25 is a good night at the 3 position.

Millsap should be averaging 18 a game and Jefferson 20 in Jerry's offense. Dwill should be around 20 a game.

Bell should be able to throw in 12 a night. Add that up and there is 95 points a night. The bench not counting CJ/AK should add another 10 - 15 a night.

The entire issue with the Jazz is with Millsap and Jefferson. They are not doing their part on offense.

It's time to change this up a bit. We REALLY miss Matthews and his spark. Move Bell to LA, Brown from LA to Portland & Matthews back to Utah. Throw in Okur to Portland since they need big men. This does NOT work salary wise so there would need to be some others in included. Pay the $$ to get Matthews back.

Recently, there has been something just a little Cavalier about the way the Jazz play.

Fire Koc dont you people get it .. utah fans just dont get it .. you think our players are better then they are.. dont tell me koc should keep his job bc he made 2 decent picks outta 20.. he has never pulled off a good trade and in free agency he just brought in players everyone in the world knew was good ... jefferson and boozer... you need to find those players who havent gotten their chance to shine .. example jermaine o'neal who was dealt to the pacers bc he was a benchwarmer and became all-star ... find those players and flipping trade for them...last year we coulda brought in several talented players from free agency instead we brought in re-treads give me a break koc doesnt know talent thats why he cant draft and thats why he brings in vetran players who are on the decline or already worthless instead of players who are yet to even come close to their full potential and are thus great bargin's on the fee agent market..

It is not just the SG position. Bell did next to nothing in 20 miinutes but Utah only got 21 points out of Millsap/AJ and 25 out of CJ/AK.

The whole offense is not working. The SG position is supposed to bail the offense out by hitting 3s and driving when the offensive flow stops. So the SG position needs a big upgrade.

However, the real problem seems to be the offensive flow which has little to do with the SG.

The Sloan system is disrupted and broken. The current players are capable of making it work well but right now they are not making it work.

One or more of them are disrupting the flow or 6 coaches in a row (unlikely) have figured out how to kill the Sloan offense.

Sloan knows who/what is killing his offense. Juggling the SF position is not likely to fix it and he knows it.

The C/PF positions need addressed but Okur only had 3 points in 12 minutes. But that is about as good as AJ/Millsap on a minute basis.

The offense will fix when the players decide to execute it.

CJ should be starting at the 2 not the 3. Sit Bell, Start AK.

Come on coach. Really, do we have to say it out load, can't you see who is holding this team down? Don't you see the same game fans do? The shooting guard position is terrible!!!!!!!!Thank you for starting Miles, he added a scoring spark, but for heaven sake, please put Bell where he belongs, riding pine!
