Hayward needs a regular 5-10 substitute roll. He is not going to progress with this no minutes for 2 weeks then expected to start and matchup with Vince Carter for 20+ minutes.

The problem is if you bring him in with the second unit instead of CJ, the second unit has no scorers.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Memo returns. The rotations and lineups will have to changes substantially. I could see Milsap or AK playing with the second unit as well.

I totally agree with the posts. If Bell cannot go, CJ is best served to start because you know likely to get 15 points. Frankly, I was a supporter for him to start this season at the #2 from day 1. He gets going when makes a couple. I also think starting he is very happy, if that is what needed to get that consistency he is far better than Gordon who is too tentative right now and needs some more time..

Terrible mistake by Sloan, the advance stats show that CJ instead of Bell is one of the Jazz' best units, and also the unit that has played the 2nd most minutes behind the starters.

Watson or Price with the other four have also been net positive. Hayward should be getting 35 minutes a night in the D-League, just crazy throwing him to the wolves after keeping him buried all year, nonsensical. Send him down for the year and re-sign Jeffers, who at least knows the system.

Sloan, KOC, et al are great, but they're just prehistoric on this sort of thing. All gut, no rings.

When someone is hurt, Jerry always starts a bench-warmer. Makes no sense.

He is only playing CJ 22 minutes a game. Give him 40 when someone is hurt.

The Jazz already can't score in the 1st quarter. So why play Hayward who can't score?

Start Price. Start CJ. Start anyone but Hayward.

I don't see anything different Jerry, it's always the same ole same ole with you. Hayward doesn't cut it, I thought earlier in the preseason that maybe the kid had a chance this year but he has definetly shown he needs time in the D-league, Evans is a different story because his athletism carries him while learning. Start Watson at the #2 and let Hayward watch. If Jefferson & Milsap don't get it going with energy early bench them also.
