I'd like to see Fes in better shape but this year while he has been in he has played hard and the bottom line is his plus minus is one of the top on the team, and while he is on the court the Jazz are winning.
CJ has been huffing and puffing and looks like he is gasping for air, looks like he could use some conditioning but Sloan now has confidence in CJ and he stays with him. Sloan just doesn't trust Fes and is giving excuses as to why he pulls him. No one is saying Fes should be playing starters minutes but he should be getting 15 to 20 minutes a game. The impact Fes has on the game has helped the Jazz win alot of games this year already.
I don't think you'll see AK traded this year, the coaches and management like what he brings to the game.
Iggy has too big of a contract for the Jazz to go after him.
Rick, I don't know how long you have watched AK, but it doesn't sound like you've watched him very much.

    @Captian L

Give it up. Go read the tribune article where they talk about Fess being too out of shape to play more minutes in the Mavericks game. Sloan has said he wants to play Fess more, but Fess comes back to the bench huffn and puffn.

    Does he still smoke?

    Boozer Update:

The best kind of trade works out for both sides. I would hope the Jazz fans do not boo Snoozer, silence or mild applause would be preferred when he comes in. I have to be fair and report...

Last night on split screen, I was watching Boozer and the Bulls stick it to Ok City.

Theyr'e new coach the Boston assistance is known for defense. Boozer played 36 minutes and would not have with little effort. In his first full game, I have to say Carlos was outstanding.

He hit inside, mid range. fall backs right side, whole package. Scored 29. He was not on the Durrants or Greens of the world that would eat him up but tall Ikaba. Boozer worked pretty hard on D to the point in help defense, especially when Noah was on the bench, Carlos was actually the last line of defense in the paint.

The team concept at least last night helped Carlos and hided his deficiencies if the Bulls continue that way most of the time, he will be valuable. His teammates really like him.

Kyle scored 12 of his 13 in the first half, 2 3s and did well

I dont think people would complain about AK if he was not making superstar money, 17 million. He is not worth mid level right now. I think the Jazz need to use the trade exception from Matt Harpring and get a high caliber wing player. The Jazz have the pieces to trade for a better Andre, "Iggy". 76's want to trade him, and the guy is a great defender and can defend guys like Durant, Bryant,James,Ginobli and other teams best wing players. This would make the Jazz a contender. He would compliment D-Will and he would not have to be #1 scoring option here either. Think how good we would be. The 76's want to get younger and want a Center, we have assets. trade the rights to Ante Tomic? Make a push for Iggy, dont let the Mavs get him.

Randolph had his way with Millsap. It was tough to watch :(

never knew a 6'9" player HAD to replace a player with the same height in the starting line-up or at any other time throughtout a game ? one more poor shooting nite equals andrea's worst f.g. % of his entire career, heading closer to the mendoser-line (below 40%) ! WHAT does this guy bring that some of you see ? He's extremely soft, worst than boozer, can't play defense 'away' from the basket (slow feet plus he reaches for ball which he never gets), throws up air balls alot of nites (what's that about), thin as a rail as that helps against stronger players (refused to listen to Jazz mng't & lift weights in off season), never gives a hard foul, takes hard fouls & lays on the floor showing no tuffness, throws the ball away with lousy passes, trying many times to thread the needle when there are other options..I could go on & on about this player who was ONCE an all star 5 or 6 years ago..Andrea will be GONE after the season or sooner because he's a good player ??? He'll be gone because he's done !!!

Tyler, your right AK is far more valuable than just the points he scores. The intangibles AK brings are more important than most people see.
As much as I want to see Fes get more minutes and be on the floor, it wouldn't be at AK's expense.
CJ played well last night but he sure looks winded and like he's not in the best of shape, sucking for air more than he should be.

Learn about basketball ok. Fes replacing AK.... Do you know what positions they play? Anyway, one poor shooting night is no reason to be concerned. Whenever AK plays well (sometimes his stats won't show it, others will be filled with 4+ in pts, steals, assists, rebounds, and blocks) the team usually wins.

I have been on & off of Sloans boat throught out the years. I have been onboard this season, but after last night the ride is getting rough. When A.K. and Milsap are stinking up the joint why is Evans and Hatward just sitting? I would think he would want to give them minutes in these cases.Instead it's back to the old school with the veterans and the same old tired logic. This Evans is an energizer bunny and needs minutes, he is quick, rebounds and plays decent defense, whats wrong Jerry? I know Paul is his favorite but give us and the rooks a break!

Fes is needed for the rest of the week to play. He is a monster when defending the paint and continues to improve.

AJ has not figured a way to be a presence in the middle yet. He has the best guard in the league to run the pick and roll offense yet he hasn't got it going yet.

Has he ever watched a show called Stockton to Malone?

Deron keeps waiting for Al to catch on and up.

The rest of the team should rise to the games this week. They seem to play better when needed. Price is due to give some opposing player a facial and Watson is going to bring his game so the Jazz should be good to go.

andrea had another typical nite : 1 for 10 with how many air balls this nite ? fes should have replaced this guy long ago in the starting line-up...memo's defense is nothing to get excited about, but atleast he spreads the floor lining up behind the arc & is more reliable with his shot. upon memo's return in February, andrea will lose the starting spot & hopefully find his way towards the end of the bench--which couldn't come fast enough.LIFT SOME WEIGHTS IN THE OFF SEASON ANDREA & GET ALITTLE TUFF.

As article notes, our front line -- Jefferson, Millsap, Kirilenko -- all struggled mightily. Meanwhile The Booze was putting up 29/12 against Durant and the Thunder.

Likewise, lets hope Fes is Ok, did great couple blocks, at least that many defensive stands forcing up tough shots. Good on Boards.

I am glad AP article mentioned Raja. He helped give us separation needed in this game with the 3 and 2 ending the 3rd and starting the 4th. He hit 2 3s and a 2 in short period of time...Dwil, to CJ to Paul for Dunk was another key play.

The bench has to pick up against Orlando and Miami. CJ though was great tonight and we may not have won without him. Elson had some good minutes also and DWIL came back with a nice game. Although, He is still not pushing the pace enough last couple games.

I like Sloan was flexible again. He put in Fes befor Elson, then had them play together. Not being so regimented in the sub pattern is an enjoyable thing to see.

It was nice to see Raja Bell hitting his shots, D-Will was a machine. Way to protect home court! Keep working hard, go Jazz!

Good game by CJ, tough game for Paul and AK, wasn't pretty but a win is a win.
Love Fes's energy, hope he isn't' layed up to long.
The next 3 games could be tough, we beat them on their home court and now they will be determined to do the same to us.
Bench hasn't been playing quite as well the last few games (as a whole), hopefully CJ and the rest of the bench come out ready to take it to them. DWill needs to assert himself right from the start and hopefully the whole team comes out with energy and determination.
