annonymous infinity: No road wins? You mean, as in the two wins back to back on SDSU's home court?

Always a good idea to check facts prior to slamming. FSU is projected to be top half of WAC. USF has been to the NCAA big dance twice goes on, but let it suffice to say you are not right.

Anonymous Infinity - What a poor job of concealing your hatred for all things byu.

I bet if I was 5 I would also find it entertaining to post pretending to be someone else.

Well done on the convincing ending though. Not just a simple "Go Cougars" or "Go BYU" like a byu fan would do.

"As a diehard BYU sports enthusiast I am obviously pulling for the Cougars tonight."

    Obviously not.

    Grow up bud.

Why could this game not be on BYUtv? Is this a contractual thing or is it that there is no feed available from the Creighton complex?

Anonymous Infinity is nothing but a ridiculous BYU hating troll pretending to be a BYU fan.

Utah State and St. Mary's are both RPI Top 50 teams.

BP , I agree with you.
Anonymous : It would be nice if you could be optomistic once in a while, it doesn't matter whether it is the cougars or the jazz, you seem to be less than optimistic. Think positive , be happy and hope for the best. In other words be optimistic.
The cougar back court is pretty solid, with Jimmer, Emry, Kyle and Abuo but the front court needs guys to step up, Hartsock seems to be doing pretty good but Davies needs to step up and Chris needs to stay healthy.
Defense seems pretty good, Go get em cougars.

    @Anonymous Infinity-

I'm not sure you can really say that this game is meaningless. Sure...if BYU wins, it won't look like much. However, BYU losing may go a long way in defining the type of success this team may have.

As far as BYU not playing anyone, I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree (somewhat). I believe USU will be in the top 25 for much of the year. South Florida, though not a traditional powerhouse, finished a decent 9-9 in Big East play last year, beating Georgetown, UConn, and Pitt along the way. And St. Mary's is coming off of a great year last year, finishing 28-6 and going to the sweet sixteen. This year, they already beat St. John's and were 6-0 before BYU handed them their first loss of the season (on a neutral court, BTW).

I know that BYU is not exactly playing a non-conference schedule filled with ACC and Big East teams (and who would, unless you're Gonzaga looking for street cred.). Still, this is one of the tougher starts to a season that BYU has had, and they're still undefeated.

This game is meaningless in the overall picture. BYU has beaten no one, as has Creighton. Creigton's two losses are to Iowa State and Northwestern, two nowhere teams. The four Creighton wins have been against Hail Mary Tech teams. Creighton's wins are against such powers as Alabama State, Northern Arizona, Louisana Lafayette, and Kennesaw State. Are you kidding me? These are terrible teams. BYU hasn't played a much more formidable slate of teams. So this game may give us some indication as to whether BYU has any claim at all to national ranking status, which is totally up in the air for me at this point. BYU has historicall been a mediocre road team versus decent programs. BYU's main weakness will be the lack of athletic players and size, who can operate in the open court and have the ability to guard people, particularly down low. The jury is still out on those issues.

As a diehard BYU sports enthusiast I am obviously pulling for the Cougars tonight.

Good luck Cougs! May the winning ways continue to come. Congrats on the recent wins and the fortitude displayed. Represent tonight, and those of us who can will follow you online and dream of the day BYU-TV can carry games like this, or ESPN...

I'll be at the game! As of yesterday, it was not close to being sold out. No one really talks about Creighton sports here. It's all about Husker football. Nebraska-Omaha has a great hockey team and plays at the Qwest Center. More people support that I feel.

I'm so excited for this game! There were 500 seats given to BYU alumni. Can't wait to sit with them all!

Another game not on TV. BOO!!!

I'd rather play in the WCC and be able to watch the games. Besides I don't think St. Mary's and Gonzaga are any worse than SDSU and UNLV typically. The MWC is probably a little deeper overall but I don't mind if I can watch all the games!
