    Why do they put all this hope on one day in one weekend of the year? Why not have this attitude year round without a holiday based theme sale? Retailers can make more in many ways if they choose to do so but they put too much on a one day event.

    The biggest profit maker would be to eliminate the costly credit card users and return to a cash based shoppers. Credit cards have become a major expense for retailers, even more than labor costs. That must have some relevance and incentive for retailers to switch gears in retail business.

    Then the american consumers are now moving away from the throwaway products being brought in from China and looking for more reliable and longer lasting products, Made in USA products.
