I'm not convinced at all the Freemont is the second best team in the state. Many, many weeks ago West Jordan took the lead into the halftime lockeroom but they were blown out in the second half. Freemont and that speedy number 14 beat Bingham in the second half. number 14 exposed the Bingham D and ran for about 125 yards mostly in the second half. Best team ever. Its hard to say with these examples. I agree that they would not fare so well out of the state. Also next years team will not be playing in the finals. Riverton is going to take Bingham down next year.

Without question, Fremont is the second best team in Utah.

Just comes to show you that the better team came out on top. That would be Bingham. Fremont did not play good at all. They let this game get to them and in the end it did. Congrats to Bingham for the victory and for also an undefeated season!

I am sorry to hear that Aaron Van Woerkom's jaw is (or, according to another story, may be) broken.
I truly hope that it's not but if that's the case may he have a full and speedy recovery. The health of the players is far more important than the wins and losses.
Now, for the secondary issue. Fremont impressed me a lot yesterday. I was sure it would be business as usual. Even after the devastating loss of their starting QB Fremont hung in there and threatened to get back into the game on every offensive series. They forced the otherwise dominant Bingham defense out of their comfort zone and into a "bend don't break" approach. Unfortunately for the Silverwolves, the Miners D held when they needed to.

Bingham, congratulations on completing the perfect season. You'll always have doubters questioning your place in history. Ignore them.
Thank you all for the hard work and dedication to your team and school. May the seniors all go on to greater things in life. For you underclassmen, hit the weight room! The 2011 season is only nine months away.

Bingham was desperately trying to get another TD to make the score look better when they kept throwing it with 5 minutes to go but ultimately I was impressed that coach peck did in fact punt it on 4th down and 12 from his own 40. I think he finally realized the Mythical national rankings are not that important. Kudos to Bingham on a great season. They will go down as One of the better teams to come out of this state.

Not wanting to sound negative. Way to go Bingham! 13-0! Cantwell for president!

I was a little disappointed by the Bingham's play in the second half. Really sloppy. Good job Fremont for playing tough. That hit that took your quarterback out was helmet to helmet and probably deserved a penalty but I guess that's the nature of the game. Hope he gets well soon.
