Lone Peak High School Fan, it wasn't Jordan that had the closest score against Bingham this year. Both Alta and West Jordan lost by fewer points. West Jordan was leading Bingham at halftime, the only team who did so this year.
The Miners beat Alta 49-26, a difference of 23.
West Jordan lost 50-24, a difference of 26.
Bingham beat Jordan 51-23, a difference of 28.
So if anyone kept it close against the Miners this year it was Alta. They dominated Bingham in JV so that's not looking too good for the Miners next year. The class of 2012 at Alta could be nearly as dominant as the class of 2011 at Bingham has been.

I know Lone Peak has won state titles in volleyball, golf, boy's and girl's swimming, baseball, boy's and girl's basketball and baseball.

I'm not sure they have won state titles in girl's soccer, boy's and girl's track, softball, wrestling or football. I could be wrong.

But LP has great students and athletes and a very good athletic program. With two state titles in the fall alone and a deep run in football, LP is well on its way to winning the all-sports award.

RE: Lone Peak High School Fan

Bottom Line: a Win is a Win.....and Fremont won! Congrats to a classy group of guys and coaches. Bingham is a good team and so is Fremont (or they wouldn't be playing for the championship) Should be a great game! Off the subject, I hope you are attending your English class!

RE: Lone Peak High school fan,

I was standing right behind the players during the game, I apologize if our fans may have been a little unsportsman like....I can assure you if any taunting was going on it was not directed twords the lone peak fan or the kids it was twords the blind refs they were terrible...as far as our kids taunting, I think they were just competing, it is not in there character to be unsportmanlike, I think both teams just went out and played there hearts out.

can I ask what the fremont player was trying to accomplish when he dragged the lone peak player like 2 yards after the play was over? Look I know ur team played better but you sont need to be unsportsman like. And fremont was like that the intire game. Both players and fans. That moment of the game couldn't of made me more mad. I'm glad the refs saw it. I thought it was going to change the game but we threw an interception... And after the game people were flipping off lone peak fans and saying crul things. Fremont is sure lucky that there turnovers didn't change the game. They had just as many as we did. Good luck against bingham. Jordan is the only team that came close to them all year. A scoreless first quater wait to go. Only if you kept the hype going. Fremont 7 Bingham 60 sorry that vigal kid isn't going to get anywhere next game

Wow! Lost my voice, what a great game. Congrats on a great year LP. Lets keep it going Fremont! I stayed and watched the Bingham VS. Jordan game and I can say Fremont will have there hands full next week but knowing the character of our players they will fight till the end and leave it all out on the field.

Fremont's defense has won games for them all year. They are outstanding and both teams had turnovers it was just who make a couple more. You rock Fremont. No one had put you to get this far. Keep it going!!!

    RE: satch

Fremont didn't win; Lone Peak let them win. That doesn't make sense. Didn't Fremont force those mistakes? Fremont won 20-14. So, yes, Fremont beat Lone Peak. Understand?

The only thing that matters is Fremont gets to play in the state title game next week, and Lone Peak gets to watch it on KJZZ.

Also, to all those who comment on these boards about the paly calling and how you would have done things differently. Get a life! How about enjoying good High School competition. Let the kids play and coaches coach.

    Good Luck Fremont!
    Go Utes!

Lp offense looked like BYU's today. Everything was short allowing Fremont to stack the box all game. The offense was TOO predictable.

The 47-yd field goal attempt was bad play calling- especially when there was 15 seconds left on the play clock. That call changed the whole momentum of the game. Hansen had an absolutely HORRIBLE game. Bad decision making all day long.

I'm not sure Fremont won as much as LP kept making mistake after mistake. But congrats to Fremont.

great year for LP. I think the only sport LP hasn't won a championship in is football. Still trying..

well it was pretty ckear who played better football today. We just couldn't keep the ball in our hands. And honesly I think they had this won before the game started. With a team with 1 loss you should never ever think that! And it cost us the game. It's sad. If we played like a TEAM like we did last week I think we could of come out with the W but we just couldn't do that today. Good season lp
