Angle was not the best candidate and the "Tea Party" shot themselves in the foot by electing her in the primaries. Any of the other candidates probably would have easily beaten Reid. "15 percent" unemployment and the nation's highest forclosure rate don't speak well for Reid.

If Goldman Sachs sends a gold-plated limo to my house so that I can go vote, does that break any law? If not, then what's wrong with a labor union lending its support? And since Nevadans supported Reid in spite of Nevada's unemployment, I think that says something about what they thought of Angle - that they didn't trust her.

The Republicans ran a defective and deficient candidate in Nevada. Thankfully the citizens of Nevada recognized her for what she was, and voted against her.

Reid got elected because news reports had the casino union bosses delivering the minions to the polls and telling the how to vote.

Angle is not dream candidate but Reid has already delivered one proven nightmare piece of legislation after another. There was not a SINGLE piece of legislation this guy passed that garnered a 50% approval rating by the public.

I find it comical the comments about Republican NEEDING/should coooperate with democrats.

You lefties constantly accuse them of being the party of "NO".

Well, the party of no just won the House by a HISTORIC landslide and closed the gap in the Senate.

If you can make gains like that being the party of NO then I guess they heard the will of the people didn't they.

The entire republican campaign across the country was open and upfront. Stop democrats, stop obama, stop the current marxist agenda, stop the lousy business environment, stop, stop, stop!!!

And with that message they won in historic fashion.

No, I think they will continue responding to the will of citizens insteading cooperating with a liberal agenda that has been resoundingly rejected.

actually he was rated as very unpopular, just as nancy pelosi was. i imagine the reason he won was the unions, the gaming industry. guess he's good for them. as for me, it's too bad he got re-elected. there isn't anything to cheer about with bro. harry as far as i'm concerned.

Reid turned out Hispanic voters even more than they came out to vote in 2008. He outdid Obama. That's pretty impressive and an assist has to go to Angle for that for her racist attack ads.

Angle is more stable and informed than Palin and O'Donnell, but she dehumanized minorities and wants government to have extreme control over women's private lives. The right wing of the Tea Party destroyed the Republicans' chance to take the Senate. But look who we have as Speaker of the House now--the Honorable John Boehner. It is so wholesome and good to have family values back representin' in Congress;)

Angle and her pastor did say some rotten things about the LDS faith. She also said to rape victims, turn lemons into lemonade, which meant make the most of it and help other victims of rape, don't let it destroy you. Angle made some serious mistakes, however I still don't think Reid should have won. What won him the election was Angle's stupidity, as well as UNIONS, Walmart & Kmart gift cards and busing in the voters by the unions. Many are right, what has to be done in return for the unions by Reid is a major thing? Nothing is "Won" yet, we still have a 2 month battle in Washington with the "Lame Duck" Congress! Don't put anything past the Progressives & Unions. Obama is controlled by these types, he is their perfect model. Get ready for two more years of gridlock! It will all be passed on the Republicans, so they better be CRYSTAL CLEAR on their stance on EVERYTHING! The Media and Obama will twist it all around, just watch! Be Warned with the victory, "We Have Not Yet Begun To Fight!" Obama is SLICK!!! Watch the Spin Master at work! Be Warned!

Reid won because he was the better choice. And, given his competion the choice should have been obvious. The Republicans spent heavily to defeat Senator Reid. Harry Reid is not the bad guy here, and he is obviously no loser. But the bad news is that our demcratic electoral process increasingly manipulated by money. If there is any corruption to be discovered in all this, that is where you will find it.

I wonder why Reid's son lost his bid to be the governor. Wouldn't the same machine that helped Reid have helped his son Rory?

Sharon Angle along with her past / present pastor also said some pretty disparaging remarks about the LDS faith. Not too smart when you're trying to win an election in a state where nearly 10 percent of the population is Mormon.

Reid won in Washoe county (Reno) with 70,000+ votes, Mineral county (middle of no where) 855 votes and Clark county (Vegas) 250,000+ votes. Sounds like he did a pretty good job of playing the numbers game. He also got the votes of the minorities because Ms. Angle chose to not acknowledge them .

After talking to many friends and family in Vegas, who consider themselves moderate republicans, I found that they all voted for Reid because Ms. Angles view and policies were too extreme. Oh and they aren't part of any Labor Unions.

Sounds like Ms. Angle lost on a few levels.

Let's be clear in this discussion. Harry Reid LOST every Nevada county except 3: Clark (LasVegas) and 2 small north west counties with less than 10000 voters. Harry Reid won Nevada because Harry Reid pandered to the Labor Unions of LasVegas.

I thought labor unions were supposed to protect jobs yet LasVegas has nearly 15% unemployment. Could the gaming industry be the next bailout target. Harry is certainly beholding to them.

All I hope is that Harry becomes the MINORITY leader in 2012.

I'm relieved that Reid won re-election. Sharon Angle made the statements that showed how extreme she was, Reid's campaign simply made sure people knew what she had said.

It would be nice if the Republicans would be willing to sit down with the Democrats and actually work together. It sounds that Bohner (not sure of spelling) won't do anything that could possibly benefit Obama in 2012.

The news reports coming out now show that several major companies are gearing up to hiring like they haven't in the past couple of years. It appears the president's policy is furthering the good work. We had to stop the free fall of our economy, before we could start building it up. His policies stopped the free fall Bush's started--yes, it took a full year, but Bush had us heading for a depression. You don't stop one of those immediately. It looks like having slowed the job loss, we can now start building the economy.

Harry Reid is on the same page at least, as Obama. Who know what page Angle would have been on.

Face it, corruption helped get Reid back in, just as corruption has backed alot of what always goes on in Washington. Just take a look at the Drudge report on how the absentee military vote was blocked from being included in midterm polls around the country.

Early ad barrage and big labor unions helped him win. I wonder how he is going to pay them back with taxpayer money. Its an ugly game we are playing.

    Live Hard/hardware:

I can respect those who do not like Harry Reid. I voted for him, but that doesn't mean I disrepect Republicans. What gets me upset is when you say things like "naive" and "stupid" without all of the facts.

Sharon Angle actually suggested there is a 2nd Amendment remedy in the event she lost the election. She refused to answer for it---whether to explain her answer or admit a slip of the tongue. In fact, she refused to answer any questions, ever. She exposed herself as ignorant of policy on more than one occasion, and her pastor (whom Angle did not counter) said that Harry Reid as a Mormon, was part of cult. Angle also told rape victims to make their "lemons into lemonade."

A candidate who proposes an armed uprising if they lose? Who does she think she is, Aaron Burr? That's who Nevada should have representing it in the Senate?

I am proud that I voted for Reid and that he won re-election.
