SammyG and Worf whatever that is,

If you pay attention to football, then you understand that comparative scoring means nothing. TCU beat AFA 20-17 last year while BYU throttled them. A game is about coaching and match-ups. Utah had a bad game plan against AFA. I was there at the game, Utah overlooked AFA. There was no bounce in their step yesterday. NO swagger like most weeks. This was a major trap game and Utah came away with a win.

Utah ran a very vanilla game plan running it up the middle nearly 70 percent of the time.

As for Air Force, there is no quit in that team. To think nyu could have won that game yesterday is moronic. Calhoun had a bunch of tricks for that game. He had Utah on their heels defensively the whole first half. The second half was different other than one great move by Jefferson and a mistake on the long touchdown pass.

This was the best way to prepare for TCU. Utah will play TCU better than anyone else and come out with the win.

Its really hard for some to give Utah any credit.

The turnover margin is a little misleading.
    Consider that
    1) AFA held Utah on a fourth down run, leading to a turnover on downs; and
    2) AFA recovered their onside kick.

It was the Utah defense stepping up in the second half that gave the game to the Utes.

The falcons got a couple lucky plays to get back into the ball game in the second half. Utah shouldnt have gone for it on that fourth down, but a win is a win.

The thing I am most worried about was how ofter Wynn was pressured on pass plays. THe O Line did not do a great job of pass protectin. To their credit, they did an amazing job on setting up the run though.

Concentrate and come out ready for the frogs.

    Go Utes!

Go Utes! I say they beat TCU next week, but they can't get complacent after a lead. But with the fight that they showed, I know they can do it, but they have to win in every phase of the game! Great game Airforce, it's always close! And to worf, I'm glad you're a fan of Utah football, you must love the Utes! I'm seeing you in like every article! So maybe you can join me in saying Go Utes! Thanks for your support!

Utes running out of steam or was it all hot air?

I saw a very vulnerable team tonight. Like worf said, this was a banged up Falcon team and they had some mighty BIG plays. Utes finally played some competition and don't look nearly as good as you Ute fans say they were.

Enjoy your rankings boost, it's temporary and you know I'm right. Very possible that in these next 4 games the Utes could lose more than just to TCU.

A hollow victory tonight, not so much swagger going into this next game is there?

After playing a wimpy schedule, the truth comes out. The Utes are not the same caliber as TCU, Boise State, or Neveda. An injured, five turn-over, beat-up Air Force team could and should have won this game. Talk about luck. As banged up as the Falcons are, the Cougars would have won this. I'll be at the TCU game next week to witness the destruction of the ute BCS bowl dream.
