nels as much as i love timpview and what we do, i think there is no doubt even in our(timpview) minds who the best is this year.(that being bingham). with that said, a bingham/tv matchup would be in my opinion, a great game to watch! we have so much respect for our price camp bros in south jordan. hope we can both take it again this year. go tbirds!

    Mr. Terry:

That is a great photograph. I'm assuming the Riverton player is okay but that looks like a form tackle, head up right in the numbers driving the player back is classic. And the helmet coming off to boot...

I know that you're ecstatic about how Bingham played last night (and has played all season) but please don't put Alta down. I hope that, as a Bingham fan, you have more class than that and your comment was simply ill-considered. That sort of comment is worse than the one by Riverton's coach. He may have meant to insinuate that Bingham doesn't have good kids, he may have not. You, on the other hand, are clearly insulting Alta. They may be having a down year but I think they'll be back as a contender next year.

It may look like Bingham can do no wrong but the Miners have to stay focused. West Jordan revealed a bit of vulnerability, even if they couldn't hold on for the win. I'd be as happy as anyone to see our Miners holding up another state championship trophy but I think it's not a foregone conclusion.

I would like to see Bingham and Timpview play each other. Both say they are the best in the state and after 5 years of dominance by both teams, you think they would set a game up so that there is no doubt who is the best in the state.

Bingham will be playing a easy game first week of state playoffs.... then its get this...... ALTA..... winner of Cottonwood/Davis.... then in my guess either LP or Fremont, who IS playing very well.... I am happy to see Bingham get to show how good they are against quality opponents, becuase we know Alta can be better come playoff time, Cottonwood looks scary good, even though I could see DAVIS beating them because Cottonwood has not beat one quality opponent this year, you cant count ALTA, and they had to come from behind against ALTA!!! COLTS ARE NOT THAT GOOD!!

    Bingham Vs. Lone Peak.

On a side note... Riverton will win one game in the playoffs this year! against West!! ha

Great game. It’s what both teams needed. Riverton is much improved and Bingham is everything we said and more. After last week’s sloppy start against WJ, we are pleased to see the Miners are back on track. It’s not just the win; it’s the goal of perfection that drives Bingham now. Thanks for the side show from quotes in the paper. I believe BHS coaching staff was offended. Good example of class at the end by taking a knee. As for the forth and one late in the game: Hey folks, we don’t punt. The real story is in the Bingham O-Line. This season: Practically no sacks, 50 million yards rushing by whomever is carrying the ball, wide open lanes directly to the end zone and my favorite; All the time in the world for receivers to clear coverage and the QB to throw with ease. Unbelievable. Wish we all played under those circumstances. It is certainly not the biggest BHS O-line ever (not even close). Without a doubt, the most technically sound with the highest collective football IQ ever seen in five down lineman. Shout out for BHS O-line coach.

I am not a fan of either team, but both groups of fans seem pretty classy. I have always respected Bingham fans. Even last year, they kind of kept it down, especially on the comment boards. Contrast that with PG fan last year. This IS the best team in UT HS history. Sorry old timers with your 200lb lineman. Bingham has RBs and LB that are 50 lbs heavier than your lineman and much faster. Skyline fans.... sorry, not even close.

Just when I come on here to comment how Bingham fans, players and coaches play with class, and apologize for shots I have taken at your program, OLD_BLUE has to come on here and take a cheap shot at Alta. btw- I am not an Alta fan either, just a fan of HS sports.

Don't make comments! Try and act like most of the Bingham fans and have a quiet confidence. EVERYONE knows you have the best team in the State, why do you have to rip others? You are making Bingham fans look bad.

Even if they did spot ALTA 21 points they would still win. Must suck to be an Alta fan this year.

Bingham is so good it's unreal. If they fall out of bed, don't practice, and come to the game and and play without warming up they'll beat whoever is on the other sideline. UHSAA should hand them the trophy, no chance for anyone else to beat them. WOW, what a team. Really no reason to even play the tournament this year that I can see. Maybe they should spot their opponents 21 points just so they are forced to play with a sense of urgency and to make things interesting.

I've been saying all season long that there might be some team out there, either Alta, Davis, Cottonwood or maybe even Riverton that could challenge the Miners but I must correct you and myself on that point, NOBODY is going to challenge Bingham after what I saw last night, come playoff time that same fire they played with will be doubled and will blister their bracket on the way to the trophy, Cottonwood is good but still not on Bingham's level.
How can any team stop #11, #21, #5, #1, #10, #9, #40, #82. No way possible that I can think of. Let alone how is anyone going to score enough points, They average over 50 points a game!!!!!
And also, Riverton really only scored 7 points, The refs helped out an awful lot on their opening drive of the second half.

I was shocked that the Riverton coach would add any fuel to the fire. Looks like Bingham responded. Impressive team and season.

Binghamalum: I loved those comments yesterday. I mean not only does he run a stupid offense, he goes and wakes a sleeping giant that already was going to be a handful. Then people wonder why the put that last TD up on them. Along with the TE's comments about "crushing their dream and perfect season", you just knew the Miners were going to come out on fire! I love how Miller makes a generalization about the kids at Bingham not being "good kids" because of one kid's mistake. Hey Miller, Peck not only gets to coach "REALLY GOOD KIDS" But he also gets to coach "REALLY GOOD ATHLETES" I hope he doesn't run his mouth before the playoffs. I know some kids on that Riverton team who really are some "good kids". I'd like to see them make it out of the first round. But as for the fans and parents, last night was all I'd hoped it would be. I've never met a group of people with a more feeling of "we are getting slighted, and disrespected" attidude in my life than Riverton parents and fans.

Wow!! what a dominant performance by THE best team in the state and one of THE best teams in the nation, I agree that they could compete with anyone. I really thought this would be a more competitive game on Riverton's part, but Langi is right, good luck running against Coach Peck's D. His teams have always shut down the run, and they ate up Riverton's Wing T attack. Riverton is too one dimensional and once they got down three scores there was no way they were coming back, just no passing game. They did play hard I'll give them credit but Bingham has just too many weapons for any team to stop.
Riverton's coach's comments also fueled the fire for the Miners wanting to prove something last night as well. Believe me, the players knew what he said.
Good job Miners!!!!!! State champs 2010!!!!!! lock it in.

Wow, the top 4 5A teams in the preseason - Bingham, Alta, Davis, Cottonwood - are all on the same side of the bracket.

Coach from Riverton, do you still want to be coaching your great players and kid from riverton, or do you still not want to coach these ATHLETES from Bingham... hmmm good choice of words to make a Bingham team even more mad and play better,
My prediction was off a little 50-17 but hey I came pretty close, BINGHAM WONT be challanged by anyone besides Cottonwood!

Total Class program coach Peck. Congratulation and good luck the rest of the season. Remember what Bruce R. McConkie said “What does it matter if a few barking dogs snap at your heels” Just keep on doing the right thing.
