  • Stop talking about Schanze

I would urge anyone who sees Schanze in a positive light to consider looking for previous Employee's of his.

If you select 25 former Totally Awesome Computer employees at random, 23 of them will likely tell you Dell Schanze has little integrity or honesty. The remaining 2 random employees are just the wild card guys, or part-timers who didn't spend enough time with Dell.

It is unfortunate that the only negative exposure Dell Schanze gets is from the media. If the media did a survey of those random employees and asked them to rate Schanze on integrity and honesty, Utah would find out just how lucky we are that he is no longer in business.

A former "TAC" employee who has worked in a different industry for over 5 years, but as a politically aware individual is extremely frightened as to how many people would even consider casting a vote for him as a legitimate candidate.

Why would the state waste money or news media waste print and airwaves to even discuss this. His illusions are a sign of mental illness, he is violent, disrespectful to everyone, self indulging, and totally incredible. Hitler also wanted attention, and got it. It is incredible to even thing ink would be wasted on a ballot with his name. This really is funny and joke of the century.

Sorry did not mean to offend or demean mules.

He cannot, or refuses to honor and obey the law but he wants to BE THE LAW. He has the guts of a government mule and same brain as one. Usually it can be said "well, we could do worse". Not in his case.

he is the GOP nominee. That's why I hope the GOP delegates are stupid enough to pick this guy with zero experience except for getting arrested and running an unsuccessful business (successful businesses don't go belly up). Sounds like a great GOP candidate to me.

  • Please oh please

My personal observation is that Schanze is an excellent representation of your average Utahan in terms of logical thought, political philosophy and religious philosophy. I can't think of anyone who would represent the people of Utah better.

It won't matter what any of those commenting here say, unless they are elected as a Republican state delegate Tuesday. The 3600 or so republican state delegates will decide who the nominee will be.

Governor Superdell Shanze. I like the sound of that.

  • Superdell
    March 20, 2010 11:01 a.m.

Someone above said it can't get any worse (referring to current government). Ummm....yes it can, if SuperDell was elected.

Schanze will not be on the general election ballot this fall.

A real Libertarian will be on the ballot, however.

Even before he entered politics Schanze was acting like most politicians. Making false claims and promises he could not fulfill.
Here is a quote from the May 30, 2001 standoff between Schanze and the Better Business Bureau. "The BBB has given Totally Awesome Computers a poor rating because Schanze's advertisements contained falsehoods and inaccuracies, said BBB president and chief executive officer Russ Behrmann."

Schanze was also charged with brandishing a firearm in Draper back in 2005.
His characterization of Jon Huntsman Jr., a man who spent two years trying to convert people in Taiwain to Christianity, as "anti-Christian" seems very odd.
It would be interesting to know what religion Schanze practices, and if it is just Huntsman or all members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that he considers to be "anti-Christian".
From his rhetoric it sounds more like he is running for office in Mississippi.

Does Schanze think his opponents are robots? If not, on what basis is he claiming they are not "real people"?
I am really glad Mia Love and not him was elected mayor of Saratoga Springs. his belief he must repeat a word for others to understand it is not the sign of a true grasp of the English language.

More evidence this totally insignificant dood lives in his own little bubble of a world.

If he had any clue at all he would see his chances of even getting the nomination are about the same as Utah allowing gay marriage.

The man is a white supremacist. When he exhaust all of his money on foolish enterprises and running for political office, he will be on the dole too.

  • Just maybe
    March 20, 2010 8:16 a.m.

Think about what he says, honesty is his battle cry. Can you trust anyone if office right now? One thing you will get from Dell, someone that will REALLY tell it like it is. Someone that will do what is best for the Utah people, not a political party. Just maybe we should take a chance on Super Dell, after all it can't get worse than it is.

Trust is gone with what we have now, and Star Trek is the future.

The problem with guys like Schanze who do "what's right" by their own accord is only what THEY think is right matters. As a result, you get the disregard for laws (and common sense) observed in Schanze's behavior. It's no coincidence Sociopaths also choose to operate by a set of inner rules.

  • Do the right thing.
    March 20, 2010 7:06 a.m.

We need more candidates who simply want to do the right thing.

I hope Utahn's can see that this guy wants nothing but the attention. He did it before with those stupid commercials and he keeps trying now. It takes a sick person to demand this kind of attention. Can the media please refuse and ignore any requests from this idiot. "Enough is enough".

If you want Superdell for governor you might also believe that Star Trek is real and Scotty should beam you up.

He might be the most honest governor.

  • 50 votes
    March 19, 2010 8:49 p.m.

if he can steal 50 votes for mayor, he should be able to get at least 200 people to go out of there way and vote for him.
