And every NBA "insider" that I've heard talk about the Clevelnad trade has already said that it's pretty much certain that Big Z will be headed back to the Cav's after 30 days (the mandatory waiting time to sign with the team that traded you after being released). I'd be willing to bet Z just went along with the trade in order to get Jamison & has no intent on playing for the Wizards or signing with anyone else.

Is Larry Hughes going to get bought out? Maybe he can be a good addition!!!!

  • Big Z won't be coming.

I'd love it, but I'm sure he already has a plan (secret deal) worked out. The Bruce Bowen idea isn't so bad!

Pull Bruce Bowen out of retirement for the remainder of the year. He plays great D (which the Jazz lack). He could help right away.

I'm excited for the season now but i'm more excited to see how the off-season plays out. The following year we either trade the huge asset that AK's contract will be, or honestly I hope we ride it out and he re-signs for mid-level.

Now if we hadn't extended Okur this summer, we would have even more options, but i'm still optimistic about the future. I know a lot of people don't like the small market excuse but this is how it has to be done, build over time. Or you could be San Antonio and luck out and win the draft rights to Tim Duncan and just build from there.

I agree Todd that Z would be a good fit on the team and locally. He is Cleveland though and I see him heading there after his 30 day mandatory wait. If it's a bidding war, I don't see us getting involved or if we did, winning one. This is what I see: If AK continues this play, i think we make a good playoff run (2nd or 3rd round). Which would give Mathews the playoff seasoning he needs for the future. Booz and Korver come of the books, then we can either attempt to re-sign Booz or hopefully work a sign-and-trade to really get value back for him. That possibility is why I think no trade occurred. The draft pick received from Memphis is just another good asset for the future, mainly for trading purposes because we all know our 1st round drafting record. I think the NY pick could really turn into something good because I don't think we can miss inside the top 10 this year or it could also be a valuable trade piece.

Remember back when, before texting, when people used to spell words? These may not be the worst posts (the ones where I wonder what was actually said) but for pete's sake people, write!

Sorry for having to laugh at all your rambling on about the good qualitys of Ilgauskis, but I'm sure that KOC knows all this, and that the Jazz will most suredly make a play for him if posssible.
I have no doubt whatsoever that he is at the top of KOC's list, as he would be on mine. Not that I have any say in the matter cause I don't.

The ball is solely in Ilgauskis's court. Regardless of the offer, he will choose the team that he really wants to play for. What will a couple hundred thousand mean to someone that just received how ever many million to be bought out??

I'm sure Cleveland is at the top of his list. If not them, then HE will 'choose' where he wants to play amongst the many suitors that he'll probably have.

I sure wouldn't put any blame on KOC, or the Jazz FO if they can't get him.

I agree totally, and would sign Z in a heartbeat. However, how can Jazz do that now that trade deadline has passed? Wizards would have to waive Z, wouldn't they? And why would they?

Yo man KOC is a great guy. He has helped this team so much over the years. Ronnie Brewer was my faveorite so I'm very disapointed, but Kevin has done more good than bad by far. It's time to get real.

he is a passionate, humble and moral man.

he has the character to reprent Jerry value on work and what we look for in this state with our players.

He loves kids. He is emotional, passionate.

    Most importantly he can play.

He gives you he threat of hitting a 20 footer. He can play most centers well one on one. yeah some matchups he would have trouble.

Can you imagine him and Mehmout at same time on floor same time?

He is a good passer. He is imposing and you have to watch for him, he can board and is solid in the paint.

More importantly, he not only can play but will work hard, can be trusted and will win over and embrace this community. If you entice him say offer 600, 700k you might get a bargain.

See if you do not, you will watch and get frustrated again on these posts when Denver or Dallas takes him.

Cuban is already thinking about this especially with Dampier possible injury.

Do you want to see us get passed by again?

Or do you someone relatively cheap that can help us at worst win this division

    Lets bond-just once...

I love O Connor and his usual clueless comments.

    No one better?

Please take a moment and read this. If i ran out of room I will continue.

We all have favorites mine was Haywood. However, you have to have backup choices, one was Jeffries. Tonight there is a man that will fit what you and I all need.

    His name is Ilgauskis.

    We need a 13th player.

This is a player that will give us the respect going into any gym of a player with real Size that can play.

JBRA helped explain to me in pro=rata he would cost the Jazz roughly $460 thousand for the rest of the season. If he did well, we could sign him for one more season. That is not a kill financially.

This is a man that fits in with the Jazz and what people in this state want.

This is a man that lost his job to Shaq and still was kept and embraced his replacement where they got along great as teammates.

He is a hero in his community. He was gutted to leave Cleveland. He and his wife just adopted Lithuanian twins. They lost 2 children in 2007
