I think that DN's censorship of blog posting is highly speculative. Guess you just need to be a BYU fan in order to get posted...

I did. I'm sure he did, too. Tulsa is better than BYWho. I hear the receivers are still open. Utah's will be, too. All game and the entire off-season. Enjoy.

You called for Tulsa to beat BYU?

    Nov. 16, 2007 9:14 p.m.

Just a thought all you BYU and Utah fans that cannot get the mtn network. Why don't we start a campaign to not give any donations to these fine Universities and see just how long it takes the Mountain West Conference to fix the TV deal.

Form Mo In Cougar Town. You called it exactly right. I was thinking BYU 28-9. But i will go with 31 for the Y. I agree, BYU will have little trouble with the Pokes. WYO just does not have the offence right now to keep pace with the Cougs. I think they will give a good stand early with their defence but it will be out of reach by the half. All the cougs have to do is just what they have been doing all season. And they will. They are too focused and they have Bronco. What can you say. Now Next week, well that is going to be another issue. So far i have not called the Y wrong yet. See if i can keep that going against the Pokes

i live in southern utah and have the mountain. BAJA cable offers it. They started offering it just before the football season started.

We down in southern Utah have been much deprived because we can't get the mtn network. Last week versus televised the game & during the game it was announced that versus would televise the utah-byu game. This has not been publicised. Is it true?? Would love it if they would!!

    Nov. 16, 2007 7:47 p.m.

As much as I'd love to give AZ credit for that win, so that both NM and BYU can look better, AZ had the help of Dixon being injured! Kind of like UNLV, OR State, and AFA had the help of Utah being injured.

  • We are BYU
    Nov. 16, 2007 7:46 p.m.

We will dismantle Wyoming and prove to the nation that we deserve to be in the elite top. We started off poor this year but had we (and we shoulda coulda beat UCLA) won all our games we would be talking BCS right now. We would beat Oregon with Dixon as well as the rest of the Pac-10!

    We are BYU!!!

  • re: Conference
    Nov. 16, 2007 7:40 p.m.

ACC has VA which is ranked 14th and 16th in the polls, Clemson which is ranked 15th in both polls, Boston College which is ranked 17th and 18th, and Virginia Tech which is ranked 10th in both polls! That is four teams in the top 20!! What is BYU ranked? I think BYU is better than they are ranked as I do the rest of the MWC, but pride precedeth the fall! You're going to get beat by WY probably like they beat up on VA! Then you will be humbled enough to play the Utes close, but they too will beat you because they are a better team. I think you're better than WY, but I think that pride thing is going to get you on that one!

I'm sorry, I didn't know they posted a television schedule for x years out in the future. It can't be for the game on the 24th because that game is the game where the Utes lay a beating on the Cougars! Enjoy crow for Thanksgiving!

I am true blue but know Wyo all too well. They will be ready to play and unless BYU plays well an upset could be in the making. I was impressed with Utah last week but BYU will see a totally different team and crowd.

GO BYU but this could be one of the toughest games so far. Trust me

  • Dear Jon
    Nov. 16, 2007 6:16 p.m.

As much as it would be great for the Cougars to get in the Top 25. I do not see it. Voters will realize that Oregon lost one of if not the best QB's in the country. And that will give them all the reason to leave yet another very good NON BCS team out.

  • POLYnation...Vegas Cougar
    Nov. 16, 2007 5:55 p.m.

Wyoming is tough at home...yes, the numbers don't lie. But I still believe BYU will come out victoriously. We have too many weapons and the defense has been outstanding. The only thing tougher in Wyoming are the fans, not the football team. Throw the ball to Collie and give Unga (not Fui) the ball. I like Fui, but he hasn't been the same since the injury.

    BYU 34, WYO 17

  • Jon
    Nov. 16, 2007 5:27 p.m.

Now that Oregon's been beat by Arizona, it's time to kick Michigan out of the top 25 to make room for BYU. That Arizona win really exposed how overrated the other conferences are--especially the Pac 10. It's time to give the MWC a little love.

BYU should have no problem this week against Wyoming. As for the Utah game, the Cougars are their own worst enemy when they play the Utes. They're exceptionally good at choking against Utah.

    Nov. 16, 2007 5:23 p.m.

When I lived in the Midwest, I used to go to sports bars all the time to catch ESPN or ESPN 2 years ago before direct tv and ESPN was only in a couple million homes. Good times! People would look at me and wonder how the guy with the BYU shirt on wasn't drunk and stumbling around after 3+ hours of Lavell-ball, there in the bar.
Go Cougs! We'll beat up on Wyoming, but alas! I think we'll lose our steam against a red hot Utah team. Sorry.

  • Byron = Mexico
    Nov. 16, 2007 4:58 p.m.

Were is the TV coverage for the MWC it surely can not be a chanel that no one can watch. KSL.com on the computer is great but the Mountain chanel is a loosing choice. No wonder the MWC has no standing in the top 25 its TV coverage gives no exposure. BYU will take a knee on the 2 yard line every time and be a winner. BYU 38 Wyo 14, BYU 24 Utah 16. Conference championship in hand they will beat San Diego and they will not be recognized in the top 10 because someone signed a contract with a no exposure TV coverage. Go cougars, Mexico salutes you

I am worried about this matchup with the Cowboys. We don't play well in Laramie and Wyoming was crushed by Utah. They will be motivated against the Y this weekend. It will be horrible to go into the Utah game with a conference loss.

As much as I love to see Teams that fall to MWC opponents do well. If Dixon stays in Arizona is exposed for what they are. A bottom of the "pac" Pac 10 Team. These last 3 weeks of the season should be great games in the MWC.

  • Get Some Class, Folks
    Nov. 16, 2007 2:34 p.m.

"RE: BYU Fan," since when is "talking smack" and ripping on someone else backing YOUR team? People who excuse their own rudeness and spite scare me. The fact that they drive, vote, and profess a certain amount of education--and occasionally even religious devotion--scares me even more. (Yo--I said NOTHING about any particular religion, thanks!)

You Utah and BYU fans who think trash-talk is acceptable, if not "fun," need to GROW UP and get some class. You're all out of junior high school now! (Right?) Don't you all have something better to do with your time? Yeah, me too. So cheer for your own darn team. And get a life. Just a last thought: What you say says more about who and what YOU are than it says about anyone or anything else.

May the Cougars and Utes BOTH win this weekend!

  • Wyoming-Dead Meat
    Nov. 16, 2007 11:53 a.m.

The cougar defense is diverse and skilled to shut down Wyoming. Sure, there WILL BE some dooms day trick plays to guard against, the "D has it covered.

The cougar offense should have a big day both running and passing. Expect to see Tonga really light the after burner in this game. Not that Unga can't. Tonga has really come on reading the blocks on the inside game and the gurads seem to be pulling much cleaner in the last two games. Unga can get all he wants anytime he wants it PERIOD. George is overdue for a biggy, maybe Wyoming is his day, as well.

    BYU 14-10-7-14= 45
    Wyo 7- 3-10-0= 20

    Nov. 16, 2007 11:20 a.m.

BYU will take the Cowboys down easily. The Cowboys have no real weapons that have not been demoralized to certian failure. The only problem will be the personal fouls the Cowboys will recieve, because they will have nothing left to use but out right fighting.

    Nov. 16, 2007 9:58 a.m.

Utah fan,Last time I checked Virginia was in the ACC not the big East. And I wouldn't call any team in the ACC this year a power.

Also I love Utah fans that get on here every week and say BYU is going to lose and that Utah is so much better. Didn't the TCU game teach you anything. TCU was so much faster and going to spank BYU, yada, yada, yada.

It will be a great game and I think both teams will be ready to play. I wouldn't count your win before the game is over. It will be a bitter pill for Ute fans to lose two in a row to their hated big brother to the South.

    Wyoming 20 BYU 34
    BYU 30 Utah 24

    We own the MWC!

    Go Cougs!

  • Chester Blue
    Nov. 16, 2007 9:39 a.m.

BYU played very well last week vs. a very good TCU team. TCU's defense is better than the Utes but their offense wasn't better. BYU and Utah both have an explosive offense but the Cougars front seven defenders are easily better than Utah's front seven. Brian Johnson will have to throw the ball real well all day to beat BYU and it could happen but it won't happen. But, for now, the Cougars will take care of business in Laramie. The Cowboys will play very hard for their rowdy fans and I see a pretty good game. BYU is clearly the better team and will remain focused to pull out with a 31-20 victory even though the score won't indicate how the Cougs beat up on the Pokes.

  • AZ Cougars
    Nov. 16, 2007 9:10 a.m.

How pathetic that with BYU chasing another conference championship, only 1 of their final 3 games will be televised.

At least we'll be able to see the beat-down they lay on the utes, but it would be nice to see the Wyoming and SDSU game as well.

    Go Cougs beat Wyoming!
    Go MWC kill the Mtn.!

  • Roll Cougs...
    Nov. 16, 2007 9:06 a.m.

Go Cougars. Should be a great game in Laramie with another sweet Cougar victory...and congratulations to Max Hall and the Offense for breaking the record this week agains Wyoming.

  • Mo in Cougartown
    Nov. 16, 2007 8:57 a.m.

Unfortunately, Wyoming doesn't have the firepower to make this much of a game. They do have thunder and lightning but our run defense is certainly our strength on that side of the ball.
Defensively, if they do what TCU and CSU did and stack against the run, then Max Hall will throw for over 300. If they drop back to stop the pass then Unga will run the ball down their throats for 150+.
As far as the home field advantage is concerned, they have been averaging under 20,000 per game this season, hardly a formidable advantage. If they sell out this game it's because half of the stadium is full of BYU fans. In addition to that, BYU will not be intimidated; we won there two years ago, and the forecast is not calling for a blizzard.
I think this could get ugly early. BYU 31-10. Some Utah fans all over BYU for failing to beat them by the margin they did, calling us overrated, weak, arrogant, etc. Most Utah fans feel that this is going to be a great Thanksgiving weekend because the teams match up evenly.

  • Eric's take
    Nov. 16, 2007 8:54 a.m.

BYU should win. The pokes will put up a heck of a fight though. look for them to take out some frustration from last week on the cougars. Of the 3 remaining games on the cougar schedule this might be the easiest for BYU. SDSU has really come on lately and, believe it or not, is still in the title hunt.

    BYU 27 Wyoming 13

  • 2 gmes 2 loses
    Nov. 16, 2007 8:23 a.m.

unfortunately BYU is not peaking with injuries in their secondary and they are facing a Wyoming team at home that beat Big East Power Virginia at home earlier in the year. Wyo is a different team at home and plays well with emotion. Wyo 34 BYU 31.
Utah has won 6 out of 7 at Lavell Edwards Stadium. The Utes play as good or better than BYU does in Provo and Utah IS the best team in the conference right now. BYU 28 Utah 35. Sorry, Cougs but 2007 is going to end on a sour note.

  • Gretzky
    Nov. 16, 2007 8:12 a.m.

Go Cougars!!! One game at a time. Focused intensity with determination to take care of business one hand off, one completed pass, one touchdown, at a time. Method in the madness produces long term results and order to the conference standings. Wyoming will come out and play on all cylinders but i think their revenge factor and now rivalry factor is focused on Utah after what KW did to them. Go Cougars!!!

How great it is for the Cougars to have the best record in Mountain West play since the league began in 1999. Despite what's happened in recent years of them recording 3 of the worst seasons in several Decades, BYU still sits on top of the conference!
