    It's truly amazing that our people can be so under-educated - just observe the current widespread support for socialist, protectionist presidential candidates.

    Fundamental economic theory should be a high school requirement - maybe then the ignorant (or at least children of the ignorant) would begin to understand that no inward-producing economy has ever triumphed in the long-run. Virtually the only such countries today are North Korea and Cuba - enough said.

    It's embarrassing.
