Lisa Riley Roche
Lisa Riley Roche covers politics for the Deseret News/KSL news division, producing content for the newspaper, the TV and radio stations, and both deseretnews.com and ksl.com. She has been a reporter for more than 25 years, including more than 20 years at the Deseret News. Her assignments have included serving as the lead reporter on the 2002 Winter Olympics and covering Mitt Romney's 2008 presidential bid in Iowa and other states. Roche was born and raised in Las Vegas and graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a degree in communications studies. She has taught a course in reporting at the University of Utah and has won numerous awards for her work, including a 2011 USC Annenberg Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Television Political Journalism special commendation for investigative reporting with KSL-TV's John Daley.
