Convicted serial rapist Blaine Hogge Nelson pleaded guilty Tuesday in 5th District Court to five counts of aggravated sexual assault.

During a hearing before Judge J. Philip Eves, Nelson, 33, also pleaded guilty to five counts of aggravated burglary and two counts of theft.

All the charges are felonies except one count of simple theft.

Nelson, a former Ogden truck driver, also has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting four Weber County women.

He was charged in Iron County with forcibly entering the homes of five Cedar City women between July and December 1987 and raping them.

All of Nelson's Cedar City victims had been willing to testify, prosecutors said.

Eves scheduled a sentencing hearing for Nelson on July 19.

Each sexual-assault charge carries a minimum-mandatory term of five, 10, or 15 years in prison.
