The Utah Department of Transportation has opened its bid on maintenance projects to various highways in Salt Lake, Summit and Tooele counties.
Everlaid Grouting Specialties submitted the only bid for the project. UDOT will not award the contract, however, until it reviews the bid.Pavement jacking, which helps reduce bumpy roads at the ends of structures, will be done on 20th East over I-215 at 67th South, northbound and southbound.
Slope protection work will be done at the following locations: I-215 West at 31st South, northbound; I-15 at 51st South, northbound and southbound; I-15 at Ninth South, southbound; I-80 at Third West, eastbound; I-80 at 56th West, westbound; I-80 at 60th West, westbound; I-80 at Burmester structure, eastbound and westbound; I-80 at Stansbury structure, eastbound and westbound; 21st South at I-215 West, eastbound; Redwood Road at 21st South structure, southbound side and I-84 at Henefer structure, west-bound.
Work on the project will be done this summer and will cause some traffic interference. The contract stipulates that work at all locations must be completed by Sept. 15.
