A Murray woman was killed Tuesday morning in a four-vehicle accident on 33rd South near 10th West at 6:44 a.m.
Cherrill Ferguson, 57, 5244 Gravenstein Park, was killed after her car was hit by a sports car and two full-sized pickup trucks.Cpl. Jack Terry, a Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputy, said Ferguson was driving west on 33rd South when her car was hit from behind by a pickup truck. After that collision, Ferguson's car either swerved or was pushed across the center line into oncoming traffic where it was hit broadside by another pickup truck and a car.
Ferguson was taken by ambulance to St. Mark's Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, a nursing supervisor said.
None of the other drivers was seriously injured, Terry said, but all three were taken to a hospital for routine blood tests. The accident is still under investigation.
