The Children's Museum of Utah is looking for 12 reporters, ages 10-13, to write for the fall issue of Pinwheel Press, the museum's quarterly newspaper.
The issue, which comes out just before Thanksgiving, will focus on holidays around the world including the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kipper; Syawal, an Islamic celebration; and the Chinese New Year. Students will interview natives of different cultures and join in a multicultural feast where they may taste ethnic foods and learn about traditional costumes.The class is directed by professional writer Charlotte Romney Howe and will meet on Saturdays from July 16 through August 13 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum, 840 N.
