The U.S. Department of Energy on Friday renewed an annual grant to the state of Utah for weatherization assistance for low-income persons. The state received $1.4 million to help insulate and weatherproof homes in the state.

Also, the Rogers and Associates Engineering Co. received a $144,000 contract, of which $58,201 will be paid this year, for study of a unified theory of radon generation and transport in porous media.
