A California couple was arrested Saturday after $1.3 million worth of cocaine was found in a hidden compartment in a vehicle.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Paul Mangelson said Bertram C. Williams Jr., 31, Paramount, Calif., and Victoria V. Racker, 25, Laguna Beach, Calif., were being held on $50,000 bail each. Both were charged with possession of cocaine, a second-degree felony. Williams also was charged with driving under the influence of drugs.Mangelson said the arrest at 5:30 p.m. Saturday was made after a car was observed being driven erratically on I-15 south of Nephi. "He was driving 45 miles per hour in the fast lane of the freeway," Mangelson said, and crossing the white line.

While the two people in the car were being processed on the DUI citation, a small amount of cocaine and $2,000 in cash was found. A further check revealed the cocaine hidden in a secret compartment in the trunk.
