Marine Midland Bank has awarded a grant of more than $18,000 to the St. Mark's-Westminster School of Nursing and Health Science in Salt Lake City. As stipulated in the award, the school will use the money to purchase video hardware and software.

A spokesman for the New York-based bank said the grant was made in recognition of outstanding contributions to the nursing profession by the school in training undergraduates to render bedside care.

The grant comes from the Helene Fuld Health Trust and is part of more than $46 million the bank has awarded to nursing schools since the trust was established in 1969.
