President Ronald Reagan has named Dr. David G. Bragg, professor and chairman of the Department of Radiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine, to a six-year term on the National Cancer Advisory Board.

The appointment was announced recently by the president's press secretary at the White House.The board advises and assists the secretary of Health and Human Services, the directors of the National Institutes of Health, and the National Cancer Institute with respect to the activities and policies of the three federal agencies related to cancer.

This is the first appointment of a diagnostic radiologist to the prestigious board. Previously Bragg served a five-year term on the Board of Scientific Counselors of the Division of Cancer Treatment of the NCI.
