The Utah Transportation Commission has approved $400,000 for intersection improvements and for installation and design of a traffic signal at U-89 and Shepard Lane in Davis County.

The commission also approved funding for airport improvements at the Heber City and Carbon County airports. Apron expansion and improvements totaling $149,827 were approved for the Heber Airport, while runway improvements and lighting system installation totaling $425,000 were authorized for the Carbon County Airport.The commission also withdrew proposed rules regulating the use of single tires on large trucks pending the review of testimony given at a recent public hearing. Revised single tire rules are expected to be presented to the commission at its July 8 meeting.
